  1. Awful call. Bill is an idiot for saying he went on the angle he showed. There was no way to tell on that.
  2. I don't believe jaguars ever had that range. They've been found in the U.S., but their range is Arizona and possibly New Mexico and Texas.
  3. You're always wrong, even if you know you're right.
  4. Brewers' starters are now averaging 5.88 innings per start, that ranks 9th in the majors.
  5. They actually talked about this today after the game. Another caller called in and asked if they would send him to the minors, another guy called in after and said he's out of options and would be either picked up or probably opt for free agency. Jeff Falconio (filling in for Dan O'Donnell) and Telly Hughes didn't have any idea so they just took his word for it. Then Mike Vassallo texted Telly confirming what the caller said. Then another caller called in and asked if runners were on 1st and 3rd with two outs and a slow roller is hit towards 3rd and the runner crosses the plate before the out is made would the run count? The caller said it would, a buddy of his said it wouldn't, Jeff and Telly thought the run would count until another caller had to come in and correct them. How do these people get these jobs when they have no clue what the simple rules of baseball are?
  6. It also appears that the ninjas are on human growth hormone.
  7. Trey Watten had a nice outing going through five. Blew up in the sixth, which is a shame.
  8. Brilliant deduction. Dare I say, you're on to something, constable.
  9. Weeks was going to be in the minors longer than that but Graffanino tore up his knee right after they sent Weeks down.
  10. The Jazz came from New Orleans which made sense in New Orleans and the Lakers came from Minnesota which made sense there, but they never changed their names.
  11. They found a saber-toothed tiger skull while digging in downtown Nashville in 1971 during construction of the First American National Bank. That's where the logo came from. The other name choices were the Ice Tigers, Fury or Attack. I think they made the right choice. Minnesota Wild - Team name not ending in an S What's wrong with a name not ending in S? The logo fits the name as well. A cat like creature with a forest and river running through. Atlanta Thrashers - Generic name Named after the state bird - the brown thrasher. Phoenix Coyotes - Generic name What's wrong with this name? It's not like it's a commonly used name and it's not like coyotes don't live in Arizona. I like names that aren't commonly used.
  12. Where the hell did that curveball miss? It was right down the middle.
  13. It already hit Wisconsin. Even before it hit Illinois.
  14. I hate Ryan Theriot with the fire of a thousand suns.
  15. It amazes me how many people still don't do this. Also, if you're going to cough or sneeze, don't use your hand, use your elbow.
  16. They do two tests. If after one test it looks like someone has it, they do a further, more in-depth test to confirm it, but it's usually pretty clear they have it after the first test.
  17. They were talking to a doctor from Wheaton-Franciscan on the radio this morning and he says this is basically what the peak of flu season in winter is and it's a mild strain of H1N1. In related news, it's now in Waukesha County with two probable cases in Waukesha and one in Oconomowoc. Oconomowoc high school and two intermediate schools have been closed through next Friday.
  18. Didn't see, go to or listen to the game, but it seems rather lame that we got a fighting, instigating and roughing penalty 1:30 in while Houston only got a fighting penalty. That created a 5 on 3 for Houston which led to a goal and was the margin of victory. Of course I could be completely wrong and it may have been the right call. Although Shaun Davis was the ref and he sucks.
  19. Dang, Matt Garza lost his perfect game against Boston on an infield hit in the top of the 8th. It was Boston's only hit of the night.
  20. Fixed. I don't know why you think that's a bad idea. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Ugh. 1st and 3rd nobody out and Counsell hits a ground ball and Hall gets caught off third. Why not send someone up who can get a fly ball?
  22. Suppan draws the Brewers first walk. Maybe we should convert him to a position player. Can Jeff Suppan catch? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
