  1. With all the talk in 2006 about the Brewers being a playoff contender it's very fair to put that in there as well. They finished 28th. It's very fair to use the bullpen management in Melvin's tenure against him, especially when we're trying to compete.
  2. This is something that gets overlooked but you're absolutely right. Since he took over the Brewers have been 17th, 19th, 14th, 28th, 19th and are currently 19th in the majors in bullpen ERA. He's just terrible at getting a good bullpen together. Also, who is willing to buy Mota a plane ticket out of town tomorrow?
  3. Team to watch huh? After today's game I'm starting to think it may be time for me to not watch them for a while.
  4. Also, why was Jackson not intentionally walked to create a force at home and a possible double play? It's not like he really matters as a base runner with the winning run at second.
  5. First of all, Mota is not one of our best relievers. Mota is complete garbage yet Ned always feels the need to put him in. I only want that piece of trash in the game if the Brewers are losing by 5 or more runs.
  6. Punch me. Seriously, hard enough to knock me out so I don't have to remember this.
  7. I think I would rather date Lenny Kravitz. She wins this deal hands down.

  9. It's actually only 421'. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. I hate little wiener scrubs like Fontenot.
  11. Wrong spot to hit it Crazy Joe. Sigh, that would've been huge insurance.
  12. RICKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Weeks vs a power righty. This should end well. Like a strikeout.
  14. Well that sucked that the triple happened with two outs.
  15. Only one run but the leash better be short tonight. The outs are hit hard and the D'Backs have already run into two outs.
  16. Oh look, it's the Seth McClung we were all expecting.
  17. What is Weeks' value right now? I'm guessing it's not very much. I could see the Indians taking a chance on Weeks if we were willing to part with him but not as the centerpiece of a Sabathia trade. Weeks just doesn't have that much value imo, as much as it pains me to say it. Pena's a good relief prospect and all and the Indians would probably like him but again, nothing special for a package involving C.C. Katin is just brutal this year. .265/.310/.518/.828 with only 9 walks drawn with 84 K's. They would probably be better off going with a combo of Francisco/Gutierrez/Choo. Add in that Katin is already 25 and has had a less than stellar minor league track record and he really isn't worth that much. Personally I don't think that package is close to being enough. If we're only trading one of our "big five" I would put it in this order; 1 being most tradeable to five being nearly untouchable. 1. Michael Brantley 2. Angel Salome 3. Matt LaPorta 4. Alcides Escobar 5. Mat Gamel I would have to think at least one of those players would have to go in a Sabathia trade and I would be willing to involve any one of them if we got the right package in return. Of course if we move someone like Brantley or Salome I would be willing to add more prospects, someone like Cole Gillespie along with Salome for example. If it takes a LaPorta, Escobar or Gamel it would pretty much have to be that player and then a lesser prospect or two.
  18. The worst part about it is it doesn't stay confined in that one area. It goes all the way up to your stomach. When I got hit there the worst part was the pain in the stomach and not where I actually took the shot.
  19. Now don't you feel silly for reading and posting in it?
  20. I know Brian Sabean likes veterans but signing a former Beach Boy is just ridiculous!
  21. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! CUBS LOSE!!!!!!!!!
