  1. I would think the time spent in Atlanta would be beneficial to Yost as far as playoff runs are concerned. He had to have learned something there, don't you think?
  2. Hopefully Maroth doesn't like the lineup so much. In fact if he ends up hating it I'd be ok with that.
  3. Man, I can only imagine what Ned Yost would do! Then again, he'd probably go after the wrong guy.
  4. Yeah I have the Living End but never listen to it - track 19 eh! I bought it to hear Hardly Getting Over It live so we could cover it and that was all I ever heard. I guess I need to put that sucker on the ipod!

  6. wow, never heard Husker doing it. That's cool. I have Grant Hart - Intolerance and it's on there with a big ol' harmonica solo and intro. I love these threads I always find something new or something I have forgotten about.
  7. Definitely go for it. What's the worse thing that could happen? Even if you guys remain just friends that's not a bad thing. Otherwise you could spend many sleepless nights thinking about what could have been.
  8. The Cubs will catch the Brewers. Fate and Karma will catch the Cubs. Brewers win division by 4 1/2 games. All off season we get to hear the sweet sound of the Cubs pouring more money down the urine troughs to try to catch the Crew next year.
  9. 16 insurance runs would be nice here
  10. Miller will hit one out to win it.
  11. Maybe tomorrow Ned will use his eight + runs a game lineup.
  12. I do the ESPN games the same way as I do the Crew. TV on mute and radio on. I like Dave Campbell and Shulman is good too, but I miss having Charley Steiner. I'd also like to hear Buck Martinez tell the story of the old grocer, the apron and the can of corn! Oh Buck, he crushed that one...
  13. or about 1848http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. Is it possible that Hardy is out due to lack of hustle as well?
  15. I can get to it. forum.lambeauleap.net/ something like that. Don't know if that helps at all.
  16. Sometime back in the early 90's my brother-in-laws band, Dreams So Real, was touring with Melissa Etheridge. They came to Madison to play the civic center and I got backstage passes. The day of the show I had a meeting in Milwaukee so I got there late and missed their set. As I was wondering around backstage, pretty buzzed from drinking on the roadtrip back, I came across this dude tuning and monkeying with his guitar. He had his back turned to me when I asked "Dude, how do I get to Dreams So Real's dressing room?" And of course it was Melissa and I felt really stupid but she was very cool and led me to them. We all ended up laughing about it later. To top off the evening I got to take 3 bus tubs full of beer home courtesy of the civic center.
  17. Hey, how 'bout that "crappy" lineup folks!
  18. Praga Khan? nope too normal looking.
  19. One of my best friends and drummer of the last band I was in, is flying in from Fla today. We have 2 jams scheduled for Mon. and Tues. Day jams are awesome, crawling out of a dank, dingy basement, senses numb, very buzzed and the sun high in the sky. I have a bass player coming Monday who I haven't seen since 1990. He plays now with a band called Act Your Age in Milwaukee and is a great guy that I just lost touch with. As a special treat the guitar player and I worked up a cool version of Tommy's (the drummer dude and guitar players bro) favorite Clash song - Washington Bullets. He's gonna freak! I wish it was Monday morn. edit- forgot the best part. This guy was a lifelong Cubs fan but after working with me 2 summers and listening to Uecker every night he converted from the darkside. I bought him the mlb audio package this spring cos he was worried about missing Brewer baseball. Usually he calls 2-3 times a week to talk about the Crew.
