  1. I am interested in picks, young players with star potential and expiring contracts. So Butler isn't something I would want back even if he would play here (but he won't).
  2. With Giannis having one year left only he can, if he wants to, control where he goes and limit the return. If he says I will only sign an extension with the Knicks, then the Knicks can lowball the bucks. Now if Giannis says that he will go anywhere and sign an extension as long as he thinks that can win a championship, then its on and we can discuss trade ideas.
  3. I think the draft is about 8 players deep. Then there is a decent drop off, which complicates matters. Horst seems obsessed with finding the next Giannis and is famous for drafting projects. The problem is that he just hit on those.
  4. Bucks have their highest pick since taking Parker. Looking over things it seems like Karim Lopez profiles as the type of player the bucks draft.
  5. deleted, just started a NBA draft thread.
  6. McManus was released with a post June 1st designation, Packers will save 3.6 million of cap space actually
  7. What i do not understand is that if the packers waiting until after June 1st the cap savings would have been 2.6 Million, by cutting him today the Packers only saved about 950K.
  8. I would think it was a favor for him so he can find somewhere to latch on.
  9. Giannis loves Milwaukee and yes he is very humble. I think its clear that he doesn't think Milwaukee is close to being a championship contender and wants to win now. At the same point he doesn't want to say the words "I want to be traded" I assume that is what @Brian was referring to. But yes, he is no Aaron Rodgers.
  10. Its seems clear to me that Giannis will not commit to the team prior to opening night, which will force the Bucks to move him. He can sit back and wait and say, I never asked for a trade, I just want to see how the roster is constructed. This is knowing that the bucks CANNOT let him get to free agency. I'm glad that Haslam stated that this will be resolved by the draft, but I am fairly certain in saying that he is gone. Waiting until after October when he cansign the supermax, will only dimmish his trade value as teams know he NEEDS to be moved. Giannis doesn't want to be here for a rebuild, but doesn't want the fans to hate him, so he is playing this game. I will never Boo him. His jersey will be on the rafters, He will be the greatest Buck of all time. We can all be happy that we were around to see him play and win a championship that people like me that were born in the 80's would have never thought would have happened. Finally the fact that Edens and Giannis was not there yesterday, tells me what I need to know.
  11. I think the Packers plan is to have Love / Taylor on active roster and Drones on the practice squad. Packers probably thought it was best for all to let Ridder try to find a new home as a veteran QB.
  12. Looking at what is left for FA quarterbacks, I guess Taylor is the best option. Russell Wilson Cooper Rush Jimmy Garoppolo Joshua Dobbs Teddy Bridgewater among others. source: spotrac
  13. Looks like Tyrod Taylor is the Packers 2026 backup. I guess its fine, but I hope he doesn't see much of the field this season.
  14. Analysis of this draft as a whole is that its not as deep as normal and next years draft is projected to be much deeper. Yes, maybe there are some players that went in the 7th that you may have liked. I still like the idea of getting the top K in the draft rather than drafting 2 projects in the 7th. Now if Smack becomes the next Anders Carlson, than the conversation is 100% different. Either way its not like the Packers moved up in the 3rd round to draft a punter like they did 20 years ago.
  15. i have seen a lot of reaction of I can't believe that the Packers moved up for a kicker, when they literally lost a playoff game because of said kicker. I think it had more to do of how weak the 7th round was this year. The Eagles literally drafted a EDGE with no football experience in the 7th. I would have liked Nussmeier in the 7th but won't loose sleep over that.
  16. it was reported that this QB was Kyle Drones. https://lombardiave.com/packers-just-signed-rookie-qb-tried-keep-secret-before-draft. By the way, it does make sense that it was a UDFA, why would you want other teams sniffing around your secret weapon and saying, "well the Packers brought him in for a top 30 visit, we should look at this guy closer." Its chess not checkers.
  17. Smack was the only kicker drafted, I'm sure the Packers didn't want to wait.
  18. I think this was one of Gutey's best drafts, even considering that he had no first roung pick. Addressed all needs, no massive reaches. Dennis-Sutton is probably my favorite pick. Also moving up to get the best kicker in the draft with ballsy. Gives McMannus real competition.
  19. Honestly, as long as they keep this pick and future firsts , I don’t care what players they move, although I don’t really want Morant on this team, unless Jenkins is 100% on board that he can make that dynamic work.
  20. Even though the Bucks down own their pick, they should be in the top 10 this year. I do wish the Bucks would just do a hard reset and get as many picks as they can and move on from Giannis, but it doesn't look like thats going to happen. If Giannis leaves in FA with no compensation, it will set the team back years with being in cap and draft capital hell.
  21. I’m happy. It’s not the defensive tackle I wanted, but I don’t spend all day every day scouting these players. Let’s give Gutey the benefit of the doubt. I don’t worry about individual players as much as position.
  22. I Think its very possible Orange could be around in the 3rd round. It would be an excellent pick.
  23. like i posted earlier, as I get older and watch more of these, I am more concerned about position rather than the actual player. Every draft pick is a crap shoot anyway. From what I read just now, he could have been a first round pick, so Gutey got good value. If they would have went offensive line, like Pregnon, I wouldn't have been mad.
  24. Cisse wasn't on my radar, but he should have been. Seems like a prototypical Packers CB. good size and athleticism. A little raw which made him available at 52. If they would have moved up even a little bit to get him, I wouldn't have complained. Nice Job Gutey!
  25. the long rumored move of Tyler Black coming up is happened. You would have to believe this is his last chance before loosing prospect status. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/04/brewers-designate-luis-matos-for-assignment.html
