RIP - Felix Boller

Posted
If no one remembers, Felix was a guest of the Brewers on June 15th via the Make-A-Wish foundation. He was 8 years old, he passed away early Tuesday of cancer. It certainly is hard to see any young child pass away but I am happy that he was able to have the experience he had with the Brewers. He was on with Uecker for a couple innings I believe, the conversation was kind of awkward with Uecker but I am sure Felix was thrilled. I believe it was mentioned that Uecker's daughter was his teacher at school as well.

I do remember that game and Uecker conversation (we discussed it some in that day's chat), but I'd missed the very beginning, so I didn't have all the information on young Felix. I'm glad he was able to have that experience.

Even though it's sad news, thanks for posting it.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Very sad news. My heart goes out to his family and all who's lives he touched. I heard the Uecker interview midway. I thought Bob did a great job with the little fella.

I remember that as well. You know, obviously the kid wasn't doing well because he was a Make-a-Wish kid... but I guess he sounded full of life when I heard him on the radio. I guess it just reinforces how fragile life can be sometimes.

Sad.

We are all so lucky, and hearing about children who had to suffer with a fatal disease, makes me realize how lucky I have been in my life.
