These pirates are suspicious.

Apparently they were just causing a distraction while the sign-stealer rushed into position. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Sure, they got so frustrated that they couldn't steal signs that they started breaking stuff. That's like the Twins manager in Major League III planning an "electrical malfunction" right when the opposition was making a comeback.

A question to those who have Gameday up: how did Rickie Weeks steal a base without getting on base?

Also, why do the Brewers batters keep swinging immediately? I'm seeing a lot of one-pitch and two-pitch outs.

I'm guessing he hit into a fielder's choice.

Weeks hit into a fielder's choice in the 3rd. He then stole 2nd during Cirillo's AB that inning.

Curses. This is why the Brewers have had trouble getting into the Pittsburgh bullpen: Paul Maholm just got through that inning on five pitches.

Edit: Rickie had that fielder's choice, I forget.

Just a TAD ungrateful to the longest tenured Brewer, don't you think?

That's funny, the tenured professors are usually the ones that get away with doing the minimum because their job isn't in jeopardy.

That was a great play by Rickie! And of course, the Pirate announcers make that play seem like a routine play, as opposed to that Sanchez play last night, which every 3rd baseman in the minors would have made.

So how do you explain Carlos' major slump as well?

Seriously, if Hart can show the brain trust that he's good to go, then Carlos is as good as gone.
