Isn't it nice to have some good hitter on the bench?

 

On a side note, with the pitchers spot comming up wouldn't it of been better to go with someone else other then Helling for a one inning spot start?

Gabe as really came through for us so far off the bench.....now how 'bout a bomb here from Hardy for the 2 run lead.

also, I should mention that Hardy's third AB, he lined out to CF. But the ball was one of the hardest hit balls we've seen.

 

Tough day so far for Weeks, as I don't think he's hit one more than about 10 feet.

So nice to see Prince get the 3 hit game and a HR, get some of the haters off his back. And man anyone else notice that he seems to be doing fine at 1B? People were always ripping his D and he has made a lot of fine plays.

nice outing for Jorge. He actually commanded his pitches well, not hanging a changeup or curve. Looked sharp. Also, it appears he's scrapped the windup

Yeah, I liked the Turnbow analogy that Powell gave...coming in to last year Turnbow was wild with great stuff...and he's been molded into one of the best closers in the game.

 

Lets get JDLR there too and there's another solid guy for the bullpen.

Lee's shot was about 4 feet foul. Tom Brenneman, the moment it left the bat, said "and the Brewers will have the lead"

 

Sounded a lot better than it actually flew.
