Link Report for Fri. 6/19 -- Huge Double-Dip for Huntsville

[Jim Goulart]

In case you had not clikcked the Midwest League standings link and were wondering, Chris Mehring let us know --

IT'S OVER…AT LEAST FOR THIS HALF: The Rattlers were eliminated from first half playoff contention on Wednesday night.

There are three games left in the first half. By winning all three the Rattlers would get a winning record in a half for the first time since 2005.

Plenty more from Chris with the week that was here.

Nashville Box Score

This is a huge start for Mike Burns Saturday night -- but isn't everybody else thinking that southpaw Chris Cody is really planting seeds in the minds of the brass? Alcides Escobar reached four times (two HBP's); incredible amount of crooked numbers for you to digest offensively -- enjoy...

Nashville Game Log

Can't say I'm surprised - but I will happily say "I told y'all so" with regards to Cody - the pwnage continues unabated, it seems.

And Gillespie racked up two hits. His OPS over this season has been climbing of late - looks like he finally got back in the groove after the injury problems and trying to do too much earlier.
