With every passing hour and no further communication I see less and less chance my source was correct, and i see my "breaking news" credibility slowly sailing off into the distance.

Luke, I wouldn't sweat it. You did preface it by saying that usually your source is right, but not perfect.

 

Besides, it was fun for me to speculate a Gallardo/Parra/Bucholtz. . . starting rotation for next year.
