Shane Victorino?

Posted
With Rowand looking like he is staying put in Philly, how about taking a look at Victorino? He can lead off, play CF, and is a switch hitter. Mench, Nix, and Hendrickson for him and a pitcher maybe?

Victorino would be wonderful. Unfortunately, he's probably not available.

This is from a Florida Newspaper:

Quote:
Others who would interest the Marlins but are not up for discussion: David DeJesus and Mitch Maier of the Royals, the Cubs' Felix Pie and the Phillies' Shane Victorino.

Victorino is penciled in as their starting right fielder next year, with Rowand in CF and Burrell in left.

Pat Gillick is unlikely to trade Shane Victorino. Despite all appearances of a "friendship" with our Assistant GM Gord Ash, many believe that Gillick has never quite forgiven Ash for the Blue Jays' demise once Ash ascended to the GM spot as Gillick's successor.
