Daniel Bard

Bard is a guy whose name has come up in the trade rumors section a few times. This postseason was the first time I've actually seen him pitch, and the thing that immediately stood out to me after only one or two pitches was that his delivery, and stuff (fastball, curve) is almost identical to a current Brewers pitcher.

 

Can you guess?

 

I thought it looked exactly like Seth McClung. Did anyone else notice that?

My buddy who is a big Sawks fan thinks Bard will be the closer next year, not Papelbon. Not quite sure if that comment was made due to Papelbon blowing the save, or if there is some validity to it.
