JJ Hardy traded to Baltimore

It's amazing just how low GMs seem to be valuing Hardy, especially in the AL where there aren't that many good hitting shortstops. It makes me feel better about getting Gomez for him if all Minnesota got was a couple of "just a guy" low level relievers.

It's possible Baltimore could flip him at the deadline if he starts hot, but it is a position of need for them.

Guess that show why Melvin only got what he did for him. The biggest problem I had with him is he was a 26 year old going on 45 health wise when we traded him. You can expect average offense, great defense and two injuries that require DL time from him each and every year.
There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

No, Twins just freeing up $$$$ to try to keep payroll from putting them in the red (that is, keeping payroll manageable).

Hardy, at $6M a year, has very minimal value, as shown here. As said above, I think teams are scared away by his injuries and ongoing back troubles at such a young age.
