Bonds could hit milestone homer in Milwaukee

Honestly, is it really worth sacrificing potential wins to create a slight buzz at a couple home games?

"Slight buzz," huh?

The Giants have pretty much built their seasonal promotion around this. Now that the season's pretty much in the tank you can imagine Bochy would be getting leaned on heavily.

Ultimately, these are businesses, and if you can't get business through wins, you've got to get it through something else. At this juncture, Bonds' chase is the Giants' biggest commodity.

Given how lousy the rest of SF's offense is, I'd just walk Barry each time. Why teams even bother to pitch to him is beyond me.

I'm attending both Saturday & Sunday & if he ties or breaks the record I'll be totally silent. I think stony silence at such a momentous time would speak volumns, much more so than booing.

Wow, Bonds attitude continues to amaze. (Paraphrased) "Barry, isn't it special to be chasing the record in the place where Hank Aaron set the record, Milwaukee"-"Nah, Milwaukee is just another city blah blah blah"- Bonds....

If I'm a HOF voter... there is absolutely 0% chance that I'd vote this guy into the HOF. He is a blemish on sports

Bonds quote: "It doesn't mean anything different than anywhere else," Bonds said of playing in Aaron's town. "Right now, I just feel good. My body feels great. I feel rejuvenated a little bit. Maybe I'm going to take three more days off and come back."

Huh? You feel rejuvinated so you're going to take another 3 days off? Does that make any sense? What BS! We all know why you would choose to take another 3 days off. Don't treat the fans and the media like idiots.

At least in fairness he sat most of the Cubs series and I'm guessing he will sit for most of this series. But hey, SF, maybe you feel it's ok to sit Barry out because your not really in the pennant race anyways, but the teams you are playing are. And you owe it to the entire league to field the best team in order to maintain the integrity of the pennant race.

I'm going to be there on Sunday on the Club level (up the 3rd base line).. I'm frankly a little nervous about being there, I just don't want this to turn into some sort of scrum if he happens to break the record.

On BBTN last night they said "they never boo anyone in Milwaukee..

and I was like "Huh? The booed him before he hit 600, for cryin out loud, why not for the damn record?? And did they ever hear when Sheffield comes here"?
