Practice Sunday, May 8th! 4:00 PM - Lafollete Park

Should we shoot for a practice this weekend? Forecast looks like good weather Friday, dicey weather Saturday, and good weather Sunday. Friday evening after work? Sunday morning? Sunday afternoon?

Sounds like Sunday is the better day, despite it being Mother's Day. Time TBD based on weather. Afternoon likely since fields might need time to dry from rains earlier in the weekend.

I heard from BrewerfanMatt and he's out, I'm also told Beeks is out. I have not heard from Drick, Tyler, or Recte ... I PM'd them earlier.

Recte PM'd me and said he's out (and unfrtounately he also said he's changed jobs and can't commit to the team this year). Nothing from the other two.

I need to start get registration cards filled out by all the players so I can turn them into the Rec Dept. I think they're technically due before the first game. I'll bring the cards to this practice to get a start on that.

 

I would also like to start collecting fees. I paid the team fee back in February and purchased game balls yesterday. Everyone's total fees include a share of those costs plus a $15 player fee. To break down the shared costs, I guess I'll assume we get 12 guys (even though we currently only have 10!). The total is $39.75 (details below). If we end up with only 11 guys, that toal becomes $42.00 and if we have only 10 guys it's $44.70 -- kindof a big difference when added up that I'd rather not cover myself, so let's hope it doesn't come to that.

 

(($240 team fee + $57.02 game balls) / 12) + $15 player fee = ~$39.75

 

If players could bring cash/checkbook with them to practice, that would be great.
