Rain is coming, will arrive before the game is over at its current pace. Would be nice to sneak ahead 5-4 and then have the game called in the 6th.

Facing the best and most patient offense in baseball + A ridiculously tight low strike zone = Not good for the Crew

Estrada is out of that inning with no runs scored if this ump didn't have a wallet sized strike zone. He has Youk struck out, but got ridiculously pinched.

All I wanted to do when I got off work tonight was have a few beers and watch the game (on the West Coast).

Maybe I'll watch a movie instead. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

It's not that our offense isn't capable of keeping pace, it's that I'm not liking how Estrada is pitching, that strike 3 call to Ortiz was a gift. Losing Marcum today has the possibility of messing up the entire series, unless Estrada finds his groove and can eat 5 innings.

Now, we get a wide strike call to end it... I think this ump is just really bad.

It's so frustrating watching a large percentage of umps call balls and strikes. He's been pinching both Marcum and Estrada on pitches right over the heart of the plate, then he rings up Ortiz on a pitch 3-4 inches off the plate.

C'mon. We're only down 2 with 7 innings yet to play. Have a little faith.
Oh, I definitely have faith. I've never been one of those to say "it's over" in the first inning. My comment was just reflecting the additional runs and high pitch count in the 2nd inning. I did preface it by saying "so far." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

We have played 2 innings and people have jumped ship. Does milwaukee just have a losers mentality? We aer facing Lackey who gives up plenty of hits. And the cubs somehow beat the yanks today. Anything can happen.

You know how G.W. Bush pronounces "nuclear" as "nuke-you-lar"? Davey Nelson does the same with Kevin "You-kyou-lis." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Braun's ability to get hits off of pitcher's pitches is very nice to have.

Haven't jumped ship at all. In fact, I think we can outslug them somehow. I just can't stand the horrendous ball and strike calling by 50% of the MLB umps.

As I type this, Fielder brings us closer.

Wow what is Braunie swinging at there? Thankfully he's got that long long bat.
Sometimes a pitcher makes a really good pitch that the batter needs to commit to early in order to protect the plate.

Lackey is confusing. He has really good stuff - that breaker is pretty nasty - but he's gotten hit all year.

Geez... that hurts. Game tied though.

I wasn't calling you out personally. There were about 6 comments in a row acting like the game was over. There just seems to be a lot of negativity in the IGT lately. Sometimes it's hard to root for a winning team.
