The sad thing, when watching this, is that until quite recently, the Brewers were about as efficient on the road as Houston. What we're seeing is what other fanbases saw when they were watching the Crew roll into town. Except those fans had to leave the ballpark and wonder how that team was in contention, much less in first place.

It's too bad Yuni hit into a double play there. That was a nice AB and he looked confident at the plate.

I understand wanting to get Kotsay some at bats. I understand wanting to give Counsell a chance to boost his confidence. I understand doing this against a fairly punchless opponent at a time when Brewers starting pitchers have been on a role. But with the score 3-3 heading into the middle innings, it might be time to make some adjustments, RR. Maybe Hairston can pinch hit for one of those two guys at least?

Aybar attempted a bunt to break up the no-hitter. I think that is an "expletive" move.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Oh boy, the "unwritten rules" crew is going to come out - the Angels tried to break up the no-no with a bunt. Verlander got charged with an error, so it's still on.

for anybody watching the angels/tigers game, sabathia is wondering where that official scorer was three years ago

I think it was more "How is that Brewers team so bad on the road?"

Well, to a well-eduacted fan, yes, But to the average guy who only follows his own team pretty closely it has to be hard to be impressed if you only see the Crew when they come to your town.

I've heard this a lot, and I can see the reasoning, I think. But, the Angels are in contention in the AL West. They are trying to win games. It's the middle of a close game. How special is a pitching accomplishment if the offense takes attacking strategies off the table for fear of getting in the way of potential history?

Come on, Narvy.

The average fan has no clue what the home/road splits are

Well, he can't hit worth a lick anymore, but at least Craig can still pick it.
