Roenicke ought to be fired for that lineup. With Hairston on the roster there should be no reason to ever start Kotsay or Counsell.

Not sure why Hairston isn't in there somewhere. I thought we were past this whole Kotsay in centerfield thing. No need for that at all, especially after yesterday's trade.

It is obvious Morgan got hurt yesterday. There really is no other reason to start Kotsay in CF. If Lucroy doesn't need a day off nobody does.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Morgan got hurt, Harriston got food poisoning, and Wilson is in Witness Protection. The lineup makes perfect sense!

Hopefully this is just a Sunday thing...If Hairston isn't ahead of Yuni and McGehee on the depth chart, he should at least be the pick over the Kotsay/Counsell/Wilson group of suckiness.

But Kotsay played some CF with the Angels back in the day. I'm sure he can still do it.

I just watched True Grit the other day. I'm thinking Roenicke watched it as well, and approached both Counsell and Kotsay and said: "Craig, Mark, I've heard you two are men with true grit."

So will any reporter ask the next time Roenicke talks about how the offense should be better why he thinks that playing Counsell, Kotsay and Betancourt will give you a good offense?

Had a chance to go to today's game. Very happy to be sitting at home and will watch it on TV. That lineup is not worth paying money to see

I think the Stars are trotting out a better lineup than this.

Yeah I don't get this at all. RR has a new veteran toy to play with but still feels the need to start Kotsay and Counsell. I am sure he just wants to get these guy some at bats to keep them ready for pinch hit duty; but at some point you just have to say enough is enough (Counsell especially)

That being said, the Astros lineup is just brutal and I am still pretty confident about the game

EDIT: If there was ever a time to throw this lineup out there and still get a W it is against the Stros. Maybe that was RR's logic

I dont understand sitting Morgan against a RHP. I simply do not.

If you feel such a need to play Kotsay, sit Hart for a game.

It could be argued we are just trying to even the playing field. Hopefully we can take care of business today and go into the three games vs. the Classies on a roll.
