They are going to have to hit a three run bomb because you know otherwise LaRussa will pull Jackson before he can get into serious trouble.

Awfully tough for a right handed pitcher with an 87 mph fastball and without impeccable control to be successful against patient hitting teams, and that's only amplified in the post-season.

I understand why RR started Marcum today, and at the same time I dont. I know you want to have your ace for G7 but you have to worry about getting to Game 7 first.

It would hurt more if the Brewers were the better team. Like I said before the series, it's Packers and Bears. Bears won the meaningless divisional title and GB showed they were boss and won when it counted to get to the Super Bowl.

The Brewers are the Chicago Bears.

The Brewers were the better team all year. The pitching just fell apart.

Attaboy Corey.

Seriously, get Narvy in for 2 innings. Hawkins for 2 innings. Saito, K-Rod, Ax.

There is no reason they shouldn't be planning on having Saito-K-rod-Ax pitching 3 innings tonight. No matter what the score is, play those guys.

I understand not using Gallardo. I agree 100% with holding off Yo for game 7. It's pretty clear something is wrong with Marcum though, and I think Narveson/the pen was the way to go.

No matter, it's over now....focus on the next 8 innings.

Did RR seriously expect Marcum to suddenly turn things around?

Now, we will go down without giving our best pitcher a chance to extend the series on 3-days rest. This is the playoffs, not the regular season. Someone should let RR know.

No....but Ennder did

In the last in game thread when Marcum started there was some poster who was absolutely convinced that Marcum was doing just fine and it was all just bad luck, etc. He was adamant that anyone who said marcum was toast just didn't know what they were talking about. I cannot wait for that guy to show up in here tonight. If he does, I hope he has removed his head from...uh, the sand.

Since Wolf did I am sure RR thought Marcum would too.
Wolf didn't have an 8 1/2 ERA for the last month. He had a bad start in AZ. Marcum has basically sucked completely since the beginning of September, and has shown absolutely no sign of getting out of it.
