I know there are some fans here and thought I share a link. SP is at the Rock AM Ring festival and their show is being streamed. I have heard the new album and it is very well done. More old school Pumpkins. It starts at 3:25 central today.

I was crushed when the Pumpkins broke up, but it's just not the same without Iha. But, I suppose I'll reserve judgement until I hear them.

I agree that it sucks he's not in the band anymore. He was a great guitarist. It's Billy though that wrote almost every song and arranged them. So while it's a loss I can deal with it in that respect. It seems the new guy Jeff Scroeder does a good job from what i've see on youtube.

Man that was an awesome show. Corgan's voice sounds so strong compared to when they broke up. The new bassist is quite good and is very hot. She came from the Halo Friendlies. The new guitarist is competent. Also the encore song (don't know the name yet) was a 25 minute noodleing fest with Guitar legend Uli Roth. Chamberlin as always was incredible. Can't wait till they get around the midwest.

Corgan's voice sounds so strong compared to when they broke up.

 

He does have a great and unmistakable voice.One of those voices where if a song by him you never heard came on,you never would have to say,who is that?

I just bought a CD yesterday by a group called "3", and their album, "Wake Pig."

 

It reminded me of the Pumpkins quite a bit.
