Went to this movie over the weekend at the value cinema here in Appleton.

 

Was absolutely shocked I enjoyed the movie immensely!

 

Great storyline, great acting, just a great popcorn flick!

 

Happy I spent the $6 it cost to take my teenage daughter!

I dont think I have ever disagreed more with a post on Brewerfan

 

I went to this movie a month back and thought it was one of the work movie I had ever seen. I thought the acting was horrendous - especially Kristen Stewart. Her range is non-existent. The dialogue was brutal. There were numerous times when characters were just staring at each other blankly. I went with 2 other guys (one thought it was going to be good) and we were laughing the 2nd half of the movie. Everything felt forced to me and the characters were not believable and some were just plain awkward (the queens brother!).

My wife and I both thought this movie was terrible.

 

Besides the acting, the plot was all over the place (how long were they hanging out in fairy land with the dwarfs?). And then there was Kristen Stewart leading soldiers into battle...not working.

 

I would be interested to know more specifically what was good about this movie, because there were other people that liked it also. It is clearly one that you either really like or hate.

The fairy land was terrible. The deer with the tree branches on his head??? And I agree 100% about Stewart leading them into battle. It was a Braveheart rip-off with zero emotion, range, or excitement.

 

I completely agree with the last part. I actually have to ask people what they thought was good about it because I am so confused. It has a 6.6 on IMDB (I expected a 5ish) with 13% of people giving it a 10! People keep saying it was beautiful.
