    The Cubs hitting has fallen hard. Tucker has been bad the last month. So has Suzuki. PCA still has a solid OPS the last month but is striking out over 1/3 of the time he steps to the plate.

    Why on earth are we comparing the Brewers to what the Padres are doing? The Padres payroll is $100 million more than the Brewrers or to say it another way their payroll is almost double! We cannot do business like them. However, I dont disagree it would be nice to get a utility IF

    I feel like the Brewers know they are a small market team and prospects matter more for them than a team like the Padres. I think the Brewers have the best record in baseball and already made a couple trades that have helped this team. I feel like the SS market was insanely weak and that was the real area of need. I feel like trading for rentals is a bad business decision almost every time for small market teams (CC was an exception). I feel like most of the people out there did not feel like big upgrades

    I should have one available for sale. I just need to check with my buddy. I have him selling them (yes plural - my kids and I each got one which is insane!) on eBay for me. I know one sold for $275 and another for $300 but I think one is still left. Some have found the price to be too high but it seems to be the going rate. Message me if you are interested

    Please don't trade sal. I like him as a player but more importantly so does my 10 year old and we just got him a frelick jersey for Christmas!

    Also if the Brewers aren't in the playoffs race around the trade deadline Miley will be a great trade candidate if healthy. Teams are always looking for experienced starting pitching that won't cost a ton

    Since the All Star Break Brice has an Ion base percentage of .369 and an OPS of .769. He 65 pa with 12 ks and 9 bbs. It does not seem like he is getting super lucky either with a BABIP of .310 - that seems sustainable with his speed. If he stay around those numbers he has a ton of value with his defense

    Even with the rough stretch we recently had the Brewers own the 3rd best record in the NL. They are only 3 games back of the Braves.

    If he can limit the walks to one every other inning I will feel much more comfortable. Still too many free passes but everything else is falling into place

    Late to this thread and fairly new to Milwaukee. We have really enjoyed Fixture Pizza in Walkers Point and Pizzeria Scotty in West Allis. We have tried quite few others but those two are at the top of our list currently. WyEast in Tosa is pretty solid as well

    Next week we should get to see all these kids but Harrison. Harrison was injured late in the AAA season so he didn't get a call up. I guess maybe he still could. Diaz has really struggled in the majors. Yamamoto has scuffed since his hot start. Brinson is putting up similar number to what he did in the past. It will be fun to see all of them out there though

    I feel like there is a fairly decent shot that Diaz becomes the only guy I wish we wouldn't have let get away. Brinson seems like a AAAA type guys. Yamamoto has come back to earth and his stuff just doesn't seem good enough to be a guy I really miss. Harrison strikes out a third of his at bats in AAA so I am not expecting a ton there. He could figure it out though

    He's no Jordan Yamamoto though. Speaking Yamamoto the hype has slowed a bit as he has struggled his last three starts. Walking too many guys. He isn't giving up many hits though

    Yelich now leads the nl in batting average, ops, stolen bases (tied) and home runs. He also is in striking distance of rbis runs. All that to say, many thought the second half he had last year was not sustainable, and justifiably so, but he just continues to rake. He is such a complete hitter. His worst month of the year still had an Ops of 935! His other three months are 1.149 or higher

    I thought it was easily the best Spiderman film to date. Cinemascore seems to agree. Definitely can tell they were trying to lighten the mood after Endgame. Edit: I take that back, Spiderverse was exceptional, but still thought this was great. Agreed. Thought it was a lot of fun. Not sure if it was my favorite but Tom Holland is so much better as Spiderman than Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield. He is perfect for the part. Thought it had good twists as well

    Yamamoto with his worst start of his mlb career the other night. He still isnt get hit much and is striking guys out but walks are his problem. The reports I read are that he doesn't have top end stuff so he relies on hitting corners. He is probably nibbling too much. The question is if he starts leaving balls over the plate will the hits start coming in bunches. Diaz got on another hot streak to end the month of June. He could be a solid player. Harrison has a nice hit streak going. He continues to strikeout at least once a game. I just don't know if that translates well going forward.

    Were people really expecting all the guys we traded to the Marlins to flop? Right now Brinson looks like a AAAA type player, Harrison strikes out way too much but has potential, Diaz is impressive but has come back to earth a bit and then Yamamoto has been terrific in the majors. The Brewers got an MVP level player and at a crazy low salary. Lets get a little real on Yamamoto right now. His BABIP against is .167 which would be a full .100 ahead most of the nearest eligible pitchers. That will regress to the mean some but he still looks like an exciting prospect for the Marlins and would be nice to have in our current rotation

    That's just not gonna fly. It has be horrible for one of the teams and fodder for getting that GM fired. Not sure when NYChez's post was from but he has some points. Yamamoto just had a great first start. Will be interesting to see where he goes. Harrison is sporting a nice .860 OPS but is also striking out 1/3 of the times. I think to say he is exceeding expectations is strong since he went from being ranking as a prospect to now to being ranked and likely being borderline top 100. Diaz has seen a power surge this year. if that is for real he is a really good prospect. He doesnt strikeout a ton. He hasnt been very good since 2016 but he looks to have turned the corner. IF (and this is a big IF) Yamamoto becomes a solid middle of the rotation starter, Diaz becomes the starting everyday 2b and one of harrison or brinson (this is where I am the least solid) become a solid starting OF then the Marlins did alright. I say alright because imagine what the Brewers could get for Yelich right now..
