Unusually clutch for April AmRam .. Nice....Reeeel nice..

I'm really glad they DFAed Ramon Hernandez now!

[young guns]

Let's go 2011 Axford!

2011 Axford blew the save on opening day...

[Bombers]

[razzzorsharp]

Let's go 2011 Axford!

2011 Axford blew the save on opening day...

Ha, good stuff.

[rluzinski]

Amazing how much of a steal Aoki has been. Brewers really lucked into one there

Yet we still have people who think he should be replaced, or platooned.

How are those two statements mutually exclusive?

[BradWI]

Nice job Ax...

[BCZF]

NO!!!!!!

[owbc]

New year, same result.

[MadScientist]

Ha, good stuff.

Or not so good stuff.

[rluzinski]

BLEHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

[Bombers]

Wow - shocked - Axford blew one

[fondybrewfan]

fastball right down the middle

Blows away two straight hitters then gives up a meatball; that is the Axford we know and love

2 nice K's then he gets it up in the zone...uggh. Gut punch.

[phnxcrew]

It's one pitch but it sure would be nice if that kind of thing continues to have a quick hook out of the closer's role for Ax

[razzzorsharp]

That stinks but at least they are still in a good position to win.

[MVP2110]

Damnit Ax! Well how bout a walk off win on opening day

[sdcheezhd]

Ueck was calling the walkoff. How good was the catch?

[Lilrebel724]

Is it too late to call Brian Wilson? We need a reliable closer.

[dlk9s]

Nothing all that special. A bit difficult in that the outfielder was approaching the wall and had to reach for it. It's not like Gomez was robbed or anything.

[dlk9s]

Really too bad what happened in the 9th. Ax looked really good except for one pitch. And even then, most of the time Fowler probably wouldn't park that one into the stands.

Overall, the pen has looked good today.

[MVP2110]

Aoki Single Weeks bunt Braun single to win the game. calling it

[AZBrewCrew]

I know it's a small sample size but perhaps James Henderson should get a shot at closing for a while.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

11 Ks through 10 IP for the pitching staff. Looks like they've picked up where they left off last season.

If it comes down to it, I have a list of people I'd rather pinch hit than Yuni...

Sixto Lezcano

The Doorman

Tony Migliaccio
