I pretty much have quit watching WWE since Mania due to the product being so terrible, but there is an ROH iPPV tonight that should be amazing that I will be buying.

 

Plus they are doing a TV taping at Turner Hall in July that I am extremely pumped for.

Well, given the events during, and the announcement at the end of, Raw tonight I now know the outcome of the Cena/JL match at Over The Limit. Since whoever interferes will get fired, we'll find out that JL firing Big Show was all a set up. He'll come out and interfere because he has nothing to lose. Everyone will think he's screwing JL out of his job, but he'll screw Cena, thus giving JL the win. JL keeps his job, and then rehires Big Show. Show will then be JL's heel enforcer. Pretty obvious.

That is dead on what I was thinking. Big Show needs a turn badly and Cena needs someone new to feud with. So makes a lot of sense. I'm also glad to see the Tag Titles will be defended on a Pay Per View again. Santino needs to drop the US Title to someone who actually is a threat.

That's a good point. Maybe it'll be more along the lines that Show will help JL win, because he knows he'll get his job back if he does so. He'll still end up heel, but that would make more sense for his reasoning.

John Cena just tweeted that Raw will permanently be 3 hours starting on July 23rd. I think that's awesome personally. Now they can actually mix in some more wrestling into the shows, while still fitting in all the crap they wanna do. It also allows more time to feature all of the top talent from SmackDown every week too, which is another positive. Maybe they'll just ditch the whole split brand thing now. Basically everyone is on Raw, and the SmackDown people just have a separate show on top of it. Might as well just make that an extra show for all of the talent, and not just the SmackDown talent. Either way, this should help the entertainment value of Raw quite a bit.

Just saw that RAW is moving to 3 hours also. This is gonna be great for the guys getting signed to FCW considering they may actually have a shot to get called up and get some time to develop there characters on tv. Hopefully this means the IC title, US Title and the Tag Titles will mean something again. I wouldn't mind them bringing back the crusierweight title as well for some of the smaller guys.

 

Oh and TNA is going live starting May 31st, plus moving up an hour to 7 central time. Yay, now they are gonna have a live product that still no one wants to watch. Please keep Bully Ray out of the main event area and let Styles, Daniels, Kazarian, Roode, Anderson, Crimson, Magnus, Somoa Joe, etc do what they do best and entertain.

Sounds like it's gonna be very interactive too through WWE.com and social media. Fans will get to pick stipulations and stuff like that. So basically it's like Cyber Sunday, except permanently on RAW. Awesome.

I'm not a big believer in the fact that the 3 hour shows killed WCW. I know some people are though. I think it was more of a combo of the WWE getting hotter at the time with the Stone Cold/Vince storyline, and the WCW having all aging talent. Nothing was really working in their favor at the time. The WWE had them beat in that time period, plain and simple.

WCW was winning the ratings yet. And they were WAY hotter than WWE is right now. At least they could do a two hour show that got ratings.

I totally agree with that. I wasn't saying they're gonna pull ratings. Just that I don't think the 3-hour shows were the beginning of the end of WCW like some people made them out to be. I doubt the 3-hour shows will change the ratings much at all, but time will tell I guess. I don't think it'll continue forever though. They're already saying the first hour will move to WWE Network eventually. They're likely just trying it out to see how it goes first. It's definitely worth the shot. If they book it right, it could be good.

"If they book it right" are certainly the key words. I hope they do, because right now all I watch are the PPV's because I generally don't like Raw on a week-by-week basis. I'd love to see the first hour be devoted to young call-up type guys and give them time to show what they can do, but I just worry that 15 minute John Cena "comedy" segments will now just be 20-25 minutes.

The main thing I could see going wrong is the whole first hour being devoted to recaps and other boring segments. If they are planning to do that, they should've just waited until the WWE Network started and put the first hour on there. They better use some of this extra time for younger guys as you said. They could also actually focus on more of the mid-card feuds as well, and try to actually make the IC, US, and Tag Titles mean something again.

Well, Christian finally returned and now seems like he's face again. He also won the battle royal to kick off the show. Looks like he might feud with Rhodes for the IC Title, which would be sweet. Seems like he might he could be facing Santino though, so we'll see.

Was looking forward to a Christian/Rhodes match, really disappointed that he picked Santino.

Yeah, that's pretty lame. Even if he's staying heel, a match with Rhodes would be better. And yeah, I'm getting really sick of Ziggler jobbing to literally everyone. It would be nice if they'd actually build the tag division too with Raw going to 3 hours soon.

Well lets hope and pray that Christian beats Santino for the US Title. Santino works well when he has a tag team partner, not as a singles wrestler. Put the US Title on Christian and he can feud with many different guys as a heel.
