found this site while looking at nfl mock drafts. Has the first mock draft I saw for this june. Don't follow the draft that closely quite yet and I know I will know more about these players as we get closer to it, but wanted to share it with everyone.

I'm not too thrilled about his size (think hes a little chunky). He does have nice numbers though, I would much rather take a HS lefty than a college one (Even Price), like Bumgarner.

I know it's difficult to put a mock together (I am on my 5th update), but judging by some of the picks on that site, someone isn't paying attention/doing their homework.

1. The Dodgers will not take Matt LaPorta @ # 20 .....

- Boras is his agent

- You don't take a 1B (especially a RHH) in the first round unless they have a "special" bat. LaPorta is good, but not "special"

2. Atlanta will not pass up Georgian LHP Josh Smoker for 3B Matt Dominguez.

- Georgia ties

- Braves have quality 3B prospects in the minors

3. San Diego will not select RHP Tim Alderson, or any HS player that early. This is a Sandy Alderson / Paul Depodesta trade, i.e. Oakland/Moneyball.

4. San Francisco by all accounts is set to take Beau Mills of Lewis & Clark State. I have not heard any other name associated with them @ # 10 in a long time.

5. Heyward will not make it past DM / JZ in Brewtown in favor of Moskos.

Heyward will not make it past DM / JZ in Brewtown in favor of Moskos.

Just curious, what makes you say that? The 3 players connected to the Brewers according to Allen Simpson here are Moustakas, Aumont, and Parker.

I think Moskos could be someone that interests the Brewers because he one of the few college pitchers who isn't overworked, which seems to be a sticking point with the team. Is Heyward really showing he's a better hitter than Moustakas, because that doesn't seem to be the buzz, or do you think signability is the issue here?

X,

My assessment comes from ....

1. Looking at the Brewers recent draft history

2. Heyward as a player ..... Up until recently, he was considered the 2nd best HS hitter to Vitters.

3. Heyward would likely sign for slot .... Moustakas is a Boras client.

4. Patrick's earlier comments on who he would choose.

Thanks for giving me some props, but I always make it clear that who I would take and who the Brewers would, and will end up taking are two completely different things. I still think Heyward could be on their radar, but his name hasn't been officially linked to the Brewers.

Moustakas may sign for slot at 7th overall. $2.25M is a lot of money to turn down, although it wouldn't be the first time if someone did.
