That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

"Let's throw 12 straight fastballs to a hitter and see what happens."

Not exactly sure what the hell Lackey was doing there but even a crappy hitter is eventually going to center on a fastball when that's all you throw much less a good hitter like Lucroy.

It looked like the pitch he hit out was a slider, but I was far away from a tv...so it could have been a fastball

It was a 93 mph fastball right down the middle.

If MLB wants to speed the game up, they should hire better umpires who know the strike zone. I follow a bunch of games on gameday and the number of pitches inside the strike zone that are called balls is astonishing.

Shut up Bill. To me it looked like he clipped Warren's foot which caused his own foot to go in the air and allowed Warren to get the tag on just before his foot came back down on the plate.

It certainly wasn't a "brutal call" the way Bill described it.

I thought he looked safe, but for some reason the DirecTV broadcast tonight isn't in HD, so I guess I am not the most qualified to judge it.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I'm not saying it was the wrong call by the book, but can anyone recall one single instance this season where a late sac bunt has actually worked out for us?

If that fan in foul territory had touched the ball before it went past the inside of the foul pole would it still have been ruled a home run?

I would think so because him touching it would have had made no difference on the result of the play.

Gotcha, Thanks for the clarification.
