Not upset about Barrios and Rowen being off, but I liked Pinto in the mix for catcher. He put together a good year.

I thought he had pretty much given up catching and was a 1B now.

He still caught a bunch of games, but just about every report said that wasn't his future. Interesting candidate for a utility guy (1B, DH, backup/emergency catcher), but not anyone to lose sleep over.

I would take Pinto at the league minimum at 1st base to see if there's anything there with regular at bats over Carter at his price.
