A quarter of them have been Caufield too.

Even the games they lose they have much more puck control and time of possession. Turnovers hurting them as well as dzone/goaltending. I didnt see the goal with 1 second left, but those can be killers.

These guys are getting worse buy the shift.

Still won. ;)

I'll be there today with the fam for the afternoon start.

Yeah they got the win but they were outplayed pretty much the whole night and are getting badly outplayed again today by the last place team in the league

I wonder if there is even a minut chance they could get Steve Rohlick to come back to his alma mater.

It's not going to happen with granato.

Embarrassing performance this weekend.

Yea. Frustrating for sure.

On a positive. Lebedeff looked good today.

This is still a team that has some good wins, but they need to start sweeping these bottom teams/ bubble teams.

Edit: 5 minute misconduct at the end was confusing as well. Caufield got punched and it only was 2 minutes, but Emberson goes high on a check and gets a 5.

Guys, you’ve got to fire Granato.

You have:

- neat history

- decent facilities

- world-class academics

- great fans

- awseome campus

Minnesota-Duluth (a team you left behind for more $), is stacking natties.

Move on.

The Dallas Stars recently fired Jim Montgomery after a year and a half, despite a pretty decent record. He apparently just checked himself in to an alcohol rehab facility (good for him for trying to get right). Assuming he sticks to his treatment, I wonder if the Badgers would touch him? Montgomery won a NCAA national championship with Denver in 2017.

Another name Badger fans should keep an eye on is Dave Hakstol, the former North Dakota and Philadelphia Flyers coach (currently an assistant with the Maple Leaves). He made the NCAA tournament in all 11 seasons as head coach at UND and left on good terms when he took the Flyers job. The only knock on Hakstol is that he didn’t win a national championship at UND, despite making the Frozen Four 7 times; however, his successor won a natty in 2016 with Hakstol’s players.

I would be good with either of those options.

This team is not improving.

They have the same problems they've had for the last 3 years.

Terrible on defense in front of a net.

Bad goaltending.

Are spectacularly terrible on faceoffs.

Undisciplined.

Yea, I didnt get to see last nights game, but my dad said it was pathetic.

Berry looked solid tonight and they actually played pretty well.

Berry was solid tonight. He may not have the agility of Lebodeff he doesn't have his maddening habit of giving up softies either.

It still boggles my mind how bad this program is on faceoffs.

Alas another loss to a less talented but better Coached team.

For all of this supposed Talent they sure struggle to score against anything resembling a decent goalie.

Next year had better be Granato's last year because this is going nowhere.

Had my own game tonight, so I wasnt able to see it, but we talked about this at the bar. Clearly something is wrong. Goaltending has been bad since Elliot, but they fail to score often. Frustrating.

Being a HS coach in Wisconsin we have our Wisconsin Coaches Association meeting at the Kohl Center prior to the start of our season. This year we had both Granato and Clarkson University’s coach, Casey Jones come in to speak with us among others. Jones was awesome not listen to. You could just feel the hockey knowledge spewing out of him as well as the set plan he had in place for his team that season. He talked (ribbed us) about beating Wisconsin 4-0 the night prior and and said they have much more high end talent on their roster and that he needs to get more above average guys to play at higher levels because he doesn’t get the types of players a Wisconsin does. When Granato came on to speak, I was left unimpressed. It felt like he went “Hollywood” on us. He was scattered and unorganized with his thoughts. A coach asked him his game objectives and if those change each game. He said no, they have set goals that they need to hit every game. When asked what they were he referred to his assistant coach and that he keeps track of them and he couldn’t remember them. It was odd. Anyways, my thoughts coming out of that was that I’d run through a wall for Jones and that Granato left a lot to be desired. Edited by Brew4U
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
