Vince Mancuso, where will he get drafted??

Posted
He was the D-3 player of the year, IIRC. UW-Oshkosh standout. Oshkosh went to the series this year and had a number of of outstanding players. Most notably P Jordan Timm, 3b Lucas Lechnir and SS Jeremy Jirschele. Any of you draftniks have a thought on these guys??

Dumb question: is this the Vince Mancuso who went to high school in Wisconsin Rapids? I grew up in Rapids and knew a Vince Mancuso who was a solid baseball player who'd be almost done with college.

Answered my own question. Went to Oshkosh's website and found out he's from Rapids. Wow. I knew he was a good athlete but didn't realize he was that good. Helped coach his pee wee football team when he was younger. Damn I'm getting old.

Holy $H!T-- That is where Vinny Mac went to college. His brother John went to UW-LaCrosse. Vinny was always the little stud horse in H.S.. He graduated in '97 or '98. This blows my freaking mind. I graduated in '96 with Johnny Mac. I have often stated that Wisconsin Rapids is the center of the universe-- this proves it. Dougy, if you draft Vinny in like the 50th round I will have your children.

Doc, you're from Rapids? I graduated in '90. My sister graduated in '94 (a little more your generation). John was the QB so he got a lot of the attention. Didn't know Vince went to the big zero either.

LHS baby!! I've got a serious case of Red Raideritis-- defiantly bordering on the dorky side. I think it's very weird we're talking about Gus's # 2 son. But Vince was the family stallion. Johnny and Jimmy both we're good athletes', but Vince had that chiseld build when I knew him as a sophomore. He started in all three sports as a sophomore. He hurt his knee his junior spring (I think), otherwise there was "talk" that Michigan was looking at him for a baseball ride. Best of luck to Vinny Mac in the draft.

Hey yoyo, what do you hear about the Pops nickname. We called coach Pops ever since we were in 8th grade, but we never knew why-- it was just something cool to call the old man behind his back. We had heard that it concerned Rocky's kid and some guy in gym class calling Coach Biegel Pops from that? Had you heard that. And tlpc4 please don't break my heart and tell me from Everest, I hold a grudge worse than some old woman and will HATE those guys until the day I die.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/devil.gif

I've heard the same rumor about Ken's nickname. Not sure of its origin. Everest? I always thought the true hatred was towards SPASH or Marshfield.

See, we caught the Pollocks on a down swing. We kicked the crap out of 'em every year I was there. Same with Marshfield, J.R. Neville set the confrence record for TD's in a game against them in the first half. The hatred for Everest comes from them dominating the Valley during our time at LHS. They knocked us out of the quarterfinals in the fall of '94-- big time heartbreak of my life-- told you I'm a big time loser.

Maybe my ability to endure year after year of Brewers losing stems from my High School days as a Bluejay.

I hope that the Crew can take a note from the Jays and start winning. Merill is starting to turn some heads in the Valley.
