Stolen Base Question

Do they keep a stat on stolen base success rates with regard to what the hitters count is? I know there are situations you do/don't run, however I was curious as to what percent of the time it comes back to burn you. I.E. getting caught, in situations you are traditionally supposed to/not supposed to run. Thanks in advance if someone can track this down!

That's a very interesting question but I've never seen that split. You could go to retrosheet.org and parse that data yourself, if you really wanted the answer.
