Game plan here should probably be virtually identical to the Panthers game. Stack the box, make the WR beat you. The WR have speed but not overly talented. Name of the game is stopping the run game and Kittle. Offensively, probably try to run the ball and use misdirection. Screens, reverses, quick passes to wr, etc. Don't take 7 step drops all day and let Bosa wreck the game.

As much as the Packers injury report is surprisingly stacked with names, alot are non-injury related and most everyone else is practicing fully. Even Tonyan looks like he'll play. We should be able to give it our very best shot on Sunday.

Tough to overstate how big of a win this would be. With 4 of the last 5 against bad teams it would make a clear path to the division title and playoff bye with 13 wins. I am not sure what to expect, hopefully the coaches spent the week off installing some changes on defense as the wheels have been coming off there. Seems like a game we should win coming off a bye.

Tired of late games. Just play at noon or 3pm already.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I’ll take the 49ers by 3 ... advantage home team.

It will probably be a close game, but few outcomes would surprise me. The Packers could come out and dominate and we’d all agree ‘this was a healthy, well-rested team that’s peaking at the right time.’ They could also come out flat and we’d say ‘this is what happens when they play a well-balanced team with a decent quarterback; they’ve been pretenders all along.’

Can’t hold the ball too long in the pocket today against this defense. Hopefully they plan on a lot of quick throws today or Rodgers is going to take a lot of hits.

With all of San Fran’s pass catchers on track to play, this is going to be a huge test. I want a win, of course, but I won’t consider a close loss all that disheartening. If the Packers get dismantled, however, and the 49ers run it down their throats and eviscerate the middle of the field with Kittle and WR in-routes—after a Packers bye and full health, no less—then it’s going to be hard coming away from this one with championship-level confidence. They could still turn it around, of course, but if the same old problems aren’t getting fixed by now, when is it going to happen?

Lazard should have a big day with quick throws. I'd imagine Bosa will line up more over Bulaga's side and wreak havoc.

I'd take the 49ers today with the only caveat being if the Packers created a fumble turnover in 49er territory and scored a TD moments later.

Packers getting no help lately.

The margins at the top in the NFC are ridiculously tight. Packers could lose today and then conceivably need to win next week to avoid falling out of playoff position entirely. But if they win tonight they’re in pole position. This is going to be tense.

I'll be surprised if the Packers get crushed. Stranger things have happened, but Jimmy likes to throw a couple into traffic every week. I think it'll be close but I'll stick with my gut that the Packers take it.

How? The Packers pretty much can't miss the playoffs at this point. They'd almost surely have to lose 7 games and stand a shot of getting in even if they do that. I would actually say this game isn't really that big because it's still very plausible they can lose and still end up ahead of SF. They still get another game with Minnesota, which I don't like them to win, but still plenty of shots at the division. And Minnesota's working the same margin.

The margins are razor thin for the order of the top 5 seeds, but the Packers are gonna be in the playoffs. The NFC is basically already just a battle for who wins the East and the seeding arrangement.

Jason Garrett is such a terrible coach. Sits on his timeouts late in the first half with New England facing a FG on 4th down. Could have gotten the ball back with 20 seconds left needing only 20 or so yards to try a FG, instead just sits there and New England runs the clock down to make the kick the last play and he misses it. Bad clock management by Dallas.
