Sources confirm Danvers native Shane Smith signed a free agent deal with the Milwaukee Brewers.

 

RHP is 6-4, 235 with potentially elite strikeout stuff, leaves Wake Forest after three partial seasons. Seized Deacon closer role pre-COVID in 2020 and had '21 shortened by injury.

It looks like with the last two like they are going with guys who didn’t get drafted at least in part because of injury. There are worse ways to find someone who might have been overlooked.
