For only the 2nd time this season (thus far), the Brewers two DSL squads were victorious on the same day. Terrific starting pitching from 18-year old LHPs Anfernny Reyes (5 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 5 Ks) and Osbriel Mogollon (4 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 8 Ks).

17-year old switch-hitting INF Jhonny Severino continues his hot streak (2 doubles, 1 triple), while consistently-excellent 17-year old switch-hitting OF Luis Lara collected another 2 hits. Keep it up!

Severino has been what they call in the 3-Game grilling circuit: ‘Sizzling’. Yowza! Let’s go for a four pack!

The Mudcats have lost 6 in a row, but are home this week against Astros’ Low-A affiliate Fayetteville. Exceptional RHP Carlos F. Rodriguez looks for a win to counter his 1-run, 1-hit loss last week. 18-year old CF Jackson Chourio has a ridiculous .709 SLG thus far in June, hitting his 7th homer of the month on Sunday:

The Timber Rattlers are winners of 5 in a row and aim to keep that momentum going at home against the Twins’ terrific High-A Cedar Rapids squad. RHP Zach Mort will make his 3rd start of 2022, aiming for a repeat of his last outing (5 scoreless innings, 3 hits, 2 walks, 3 Ks). LF Tristan Peters’ bat is starting to heat up again (homered, doubled in last game):

The AA Shuckers are home this week, hosting the Mississippi Braves, with RHP Justin Bullock (5.85 ERA, 1.80 WHIP, 5.9 K/9 in 20 innings) getting the start in the opener. INF Cam Devanney’s hitting streak is up to a whopping 19 games (1.079 OPS during this stretch):

The Sounds complete the full season quartet by also playing at home this week, facing Pirates’ AAA affiliate Indianapolis. RHP Alec Bettinger (6.48 ERA in 25 innings) will start Game One, still searching for his solid form of previous years. C Mario Feliciano has reached base in his last 9 games, homering in 2 of his past 4 contests:

It’s early but Carlos Rodriguez is continuing to get the Corbin Burnes treatment. Through 2, 1 run on 2 hits w 4 k’s for Carlos. The Mudcats are hitless as their struggles continue early.

it is approaching Voodoo ritual time for the young Mudcats. Yeeesh.

Oh, no! We trail 15-2 across the 4 games of full season affiliates (each game about halfway through). And at home, no less! C’mon men!

The reverse jinx worked, as the Shuckers and Mudcats both came from behind to win their games.

Carlos Luna, Kent Hasler and Andruw Monasterio were especially impressive for Biloxi, while Eduardo Garcia and Michele Vassalotti stood out for Carolina.

Along with Carlos F. Rodriguez for the Mudcats, of course, though that effort was squandered in the middle innings before the Carolina comeback.

Yeah baby we came hard with the Voodoo and the exclamatory "We're getting whooped!" and it was the rally cap we needed. We even got some bad weather to hold the shellacking at bay in the T-Rats Home opener!
