If the Brewers would have started Burnes today it would have been a wasted start depending on how long the delay is going to be today.  Even a short one and I doubt the Brewers would bring Burnes back in so looks like today would have been a wasted start.

It was expected to be, and was, a short delay. Burnes would have come back.

Even if it had been a wasted start he still could have pitched again before the All Star break.

There actually was a rain delay at a game we attended some time around 2015. There was one of those pop up downpours and they had to put a tarp on while they got the roof closed. 
 

The first game we ever attended at Miller Park in 2001 was called after one inning because of a power outage.
