It's a DSL only day, but, let's take a look at Hendry Mendez and his recent resurgence at the plate. Definitely one of our more exciting young prospects. Such a smooth smooth lefty swing:

This is clearly the best stretch of baseball we've seen in Garrett Mitchell. Goodness, the fluidity of movement and the athletic tool kit is absurd. Let's just hope he stays healthy and finds a semblance of this dominant form for the remainder of the second half:

Two losses for our Dominican clubs today: Squad #1 fell 5-3 and Squad #2 lost 9-7.

Big 2022 signing 17-year old 3B Johan Barrios had a triple, double and 3 RBIs, but departed in the 7th inning of a 5-4 contest. Hopefully that was a planned exit / sharing of duties.

18-year old 1B Arnys Rodriguez (.796 season OPS) reached base 3 times (single, walk, HBP) and also stole 3 bases. The switch hitter is the Brewers' 4th-oldest position player in the DSL, so perhaps he could be looking at a move stateside soon.

16-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez has entered the radar: 4 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 1 H, 1 BB, 4 Ks in today's game. His season ERA is now 3.44 and WHIP is 0.87, although the 13 strikeouts (in 18 1/3 innings) and .212 BABIP should temper our enthusiasm for now.
