I don’t complain about lineups much

but it’s time to get adames out of the two hole going forward.    And let hiura dh against right handers.  
 

im tired of adames going 0-4, 0-4, 1-5, 0-4 all the time.

Yeah, it's really about time to get that sub-.300 OBP out of the 2 spot.  Counsell's been weirdly stubborn this year with a lot of things, and this is another one of them. Just about everyone else has moved all over the lineup, but Willy has stayed right there.

Why is the DH leading off absolutely stupid?

Huge game today, and we have McCutchen and his 708 OPS versus RHP batting 4th. McCutchen carries an 077 career average versus Mikolos. Disgusting!

Hiura was 2-4 with a walk in his lone start versus Mikolos, and had been far and away or best hitter versus RHP this year.

Unbelievably easy decision to have hiura at DH and mccutchen on the bench.  Maybe it’s the long game to not make the playoffs as an excuse to trade burnes/ woodruff ?

Yes, he's in a little bit of a slump lately. I think I'm trying to understand why him hitting leadoff *as the DH* is the big deal here.

He's generally hit well at leadoff this year, and gotten on base at an above average clip, so I'm willing to give Counsell the benefit of the doubt here and let Yelich work through the little bit of a slump that he's in. Still not sure what being the DH today has to do with his spot in the order.

Bullpen is in great shape for today. That's huge w/Ashby on the hill. The trick is taking a lead into the middle innings. Ashbys' stuff is, at times, off-the-charts good. But the light hasn't come on yet as far as him putting it together for 5-6 innings. Today would be a nice day for that to happen.

Can we please stop with the “CC has to  be gone” crap when a lineup is posted in the game thread?

He isn’t going to be gone…….and anyone we would get to replace him would be worse…….and people would be begging for him to be fired soon after he started maki,g decisions in games.

If you want to disagree with some of his calls fine…….but the over the top whining is just ridiculous.

He is one of the best managers in baseball.

I think the magic of the Yelich toe tap has worn off.

Re: Yelich and Adames, will say that once Frelick is up he should be inserted into the #1 or #2 slot.  I predict CC will have him at #8 or #9.
