Carlos Rodriguez knocks Zamora home on a poke to left field - he tries to stretch it to a double and is thrown out by a good 3 feet at 2B. A really nice spinning and whirling throw to 2B grabbed Rodriguez. Shuckers now lead here in the 8th frame 3-2!

RHP Edwin Jimenez was done in by a wild pitch advancing a runner to 3B. On a 3-2 count, he suffers a line drive rbi single poke to RF on a nicely placed heater low and away. Hats off - that's a disciplined knock. T-Rats now trail 5-4 in the top of the 7th. All in all, I remain very impressed with Jimenez every trip to the hill in 2023.

OF Joe Gray Jr. making a difference already in the Shuckers OF. He scoops and turns on a liner to RF and fires a rocket to 2B where Freddy Zamora scooped it effortlessly and managed to lay and keep the tag on the Biscuits runner who had come off the bag. A heck of a play and, honestly, a heck of a call by the ump who was behind the play but made the right call.

We have a lead-off double by 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr. here in the top of the 8th. He ripped a dart down the right field line. Man on 2nd. Nobody down. Eduardo Garcia at the dish to try and tie this one up. 

Meanwhile, in Biloxi we have a Black/Chourio double steal to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Two down now for Zavier Warren. 1-0 count.

Warren rips a line drive single to RF! Yes Sir! Huge hit. Two runs cross. It's now 5-2. Woot woot! What an enormous knock there from Warren. Key insurance runs. It's on to the bottom half as the Shuckers will look to close this one out.

Do you think RHP Cam Robinson is happy to be back in the Biloxi bullpen? He's getting all sorts of swings and misses on his off speed deliveries. He's working the upper part of the zone with his heater. Three up. Three down. 3 K. The Biscuits are handed their 6th straight loss. Shuckers win 5-2!

Yup. I recognized that error. I believe it was Alex Hall (who has an uncanny resemblance in stance tho is probably a tad thicker). They sure do miss Metzinger's  bat!

hat's good to know, but I think in this case a coach got tossed in the 3rd inning after raging about it
