My wife & I are on vacation - Orange Beach AL. We decided to take a detour on our way home - through Montgomery AL - to see the Biloxi Shuckers play the Montgomery Biscuits  on Sat 5/6.

I’m very excited to see Chourio as well as Quero, Black, & a few other top prospects.

Is anyone else - by chance - going to be at this game?

I’ve worked far too many hours the last six years with very little “time OFF” & virtually no vacation other than the holidays. We’ve enjoyed the week away & will end our vacation by watching a few of our future Brew Crew stars. Any professional baseball game is fun … I’m especially fond of MiLB games!

Sounds like Black was a late scratch tonight, hopefully nothing serious and he’ll be back out there Saturday.

Think Tobias Myers is lined up to start on the mound.

Enjoy the game!! I took a minor league road trip back in 2017 where I saw Burnes throw an 8 inning gem with Biloxi then caught a “stacked” Carolina squad that had Trent Grisham, Corey Ray, Monte Harrison, Isan Diaz, Jake Gatewood and (still a 3B then) Lucas Erceg.

Shuckers lose on walk off WP in 10 innings

Chourio was 0-5

Still a fun night at the ballpark

Glad you had fun. Thanks for the updates!

Chourio 0-5 but how did he look at the plate? Any loud contact? I like that the strikeouts appear to be trending downward.

Chourio didn’t look great in any of his at bats last night.

Black was impressive. Quero too.

It was wise to give Chourio the day off today. Hopefully he starts hitting again soon. He’s been out of sync for a few days.

Quero (C) & Black (3B) both have cannons

This is good to hear regarding Black. For some reason, I thought he had a fringy arm.

I did too … but he made big league throw from 3rd to get a speedy runner … I was very impressed … he stood out along with Quero … & I’m confident Chourio will continue to improve as he ages
