I wonder if the Brewers will work on a third pitch for Misiorowski... the fastball slider combo is great, but having a changeup in there would take him to the next level for me

Yeah I think it’s going to be a very long road to travel for Misiorowski, the Brewers, and Brewers fans to see Misiorowski end up in a rotation for MKE.

Baby steps — with innings, pitches and type of pitches thrown. They seem to want him to command two pitches first before letting him throw CB’s and or introducing another pitch he hasn’t thrown much up to this point in his career.

Its fascinating to me, watching the team and how they develop this guy.

I agree, I think working off two pitches is forcing him to work harder in counts, and having an extra pitch makes the main two that much more miss-able. Its something Freddy has struggled with, a lot of long AB's because he can't quite wipe them out

That being said apparently he does have a change-up that below average and a curveball that should be developed well due to his ability to spin the ball well both on the fastball and slider

He's some talent

I know the announcers are calling all of his breaking balls sliders, but he's definitely throwing two very different breaking balls. He has a slider in the 88-92 range and his curve is 84-86. There are also very different planes on the pitches too. He has also mixed in changeups in the 91-93 range that have also been called out as sliders by announcers. He has a definite three pitch mix. It could become four, but the changeup command is pretty bad, though it does show some signs of being a fine pitch when he gets it up enough.

He already throws 3 pitches. FB, SL, CB and he's periodically thrown a CH but those are quite rare.
