  1. I’m with you on a hard cap/floor will be bad for baseball and especially for MKE. Share more revenue among teams, increase penalties for overspending, neuter the Dodgers Japanese & TV RS advantages. Increase the small-market competitive-balance comp picks and international pool $. That should even things up more and not penalize a team like MKE from being smarter than the rest of baseball.
  2. Check that. 3rd scoreless outing in a row for Crow.
  3. Coleman Crow with his second scoreless outing in a row. Feel pretty good about him making a spot-start for MKE if needed. Nice starter depth to have stashed at AAA. Nice to have Cameron Wagoner back pitching again. I’d like to see him get a chance to impact the big-league bullpen before the season is over.
  4. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving franchise and fanbase. God I hate that team.
  5. Absolutely — just an absurdly deep class of talent. Lots of future big-league players from the names you mentioned and then there’s Manfredi who was just traded to Colorado who could make his BL debut before the end of the year. Just an incredible draft-class.
  6. This team can use a veteran big-bat that can lead this team for the next few years with all the young, developing talent added recently and on the way. Adding too many inexperienced players, no matter how talented, will likely set the team back for a bit. If I’m the team I’m trying to extend him with a 3 year offer and if I’m not able to get that done then offer the QO.
  7. Age-regression is a real thing. Almost their entire lineup is 31+ and one of the 2 that aren’t over 31, Kyle Tucker moves like an old man. The lineup is slumping over the last month plus so it looks worse than it probably is, but if they win another WS this year it’ll likely be because of their SP being healthy entering the postseason.
  8. Tate Keuhner’s back! 2 unearned runs with 5 K. 60+ pitches, 92-94, so hopefully the velo ticks up as he builds back his arm-strength. Just nice to have him back pitching again.
  9. SSS with the lower K-rate but encouraging nonetheless. Extraordinary athlete & talent, and with the power he’s showing, especially to the opposite-field, we could have ourselves another special player moving-forward. 30th ranked Brewers prospect far too low. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s near the top 10 after the season’s complete.
  10. And with Misiorowski’s dominance, I’m making it the best 1-4 in Brewers history, but I also could just be more bullish on Dustin May than some. Was hoping for his acquisition above the Skubal one due to value and prospect-cost. To me, he give the Brewers another potential Frontline starter just like other 3, with just a little more consistency, and we have Hook & co as our secret weapon to help him with that. Priority is getting all 4 rested and healthy entering the postseason. The team seems to recognize that above all else with the minimum of 5 rest days between starts and possibly skipping select starts for some or most of our starters moving-forward.
  11. Hoping to see 2 starters acquired today, 1 rental & 1 controlled. I don’t think the team can count on Crow for starter depth due to durability and possible innings restrictions and imo, are devoid of real starter options in the uppers and thus need multiple starters added. I really like the 6 options you listed, any of which would solve the biggest need this team has — protecting the health of their young starters and getting them to the postseason rested. I like Rogers for a rental. He has the most upside for this season and loved how he shutdown the Dodgers lineup when Baltimore visited Chavez Ravine earlier this year. Either of Phillips or Feltner works for me as a controllable. Probably go with the lower cost option.
  12. Can’t be impatient. Need to trust the process. Slow and steady wins the race. When a franchise can’t buy talent, they have to develop it. This should be easy for all of us to understand as Brewers fans. No shortcuts. Keep accumulating prospect talent. Continue to develop the talent and eventually there will come a point where the big-league roster is talented enough with organizational talent that is deep enough that the team can “go for it” at the trade-deadline if it makes sense to do so — that time is not now. Fortunately, we are getting closer to that time thanks to the talent of our FO and infrastructure.
  13. Doug Melvin is a gentleman of the highest integrity — but baseball has passed him by. It took this FO nearly a decade to complete the infrastructure rebuild necessary to be able to compete with the behemoths of this sport. Be thankful Attanasio recognized he needed to move on from Mr Melvin to have any chance to compete with the LM teams in this day and age with disparages in revenue of over $300M, and in the case of the LAD, $500M. The Dodgers have the ability, thanks to their massive revenue & geography, to build their team thru FA and trades. They don’t need to install their prospects like we do — they can just collect prospect talent and use the talent to acquire veteran talent, thus skipping the growing-pains of the medium & SM teams have to go thru finishing-off the development of their prospects. This team can absolutely compete with the Dodgers, just like an inferior Blue Jays team came within 1 pitch of upsetting the Dodgers in last years WS. We have a back-to-back 2 time executive of the year leading this organization to greatness. We have the best amateur prospect-procurement in the sport. We have outstanding player development and coaches. All we need is time — and patience to see this thru. I’m betting on Matt Arnold & co being able to do this.
  14. The starter addition is as much a priority as the bullpen upgrades, imo. Crow is really the only realistic starter possibility in the uppers and he’s coming off injury and shouldn’t be counted on. I’d like to see 2 starter additions so we can option Sproat, gaining the extra year while he gets experience pitching out of the pen for Nashville so he can strengthen our postseason pen. The second starter addition protects from injury and allows for 5 and 6 day rest for our young starters the rest of the way. I’m hoping for Weaver. His addition along with Drohan and Sproat moving to the pen would give us a dynamic playoff pen.
  15. For as disappointing as the organization’s pitching has been this season, Knoth has been anything but that. Hoping we still have him with the org Monday nite, but if not we’ll have a player that helps the big-club in their attempt to win a title this year.
  16. Knoth got thru the 6th unscathed after giving up a couple of baserunners, one by error the other a single. Ended the inning with his 7th K. 86 pitches. Nice to see him get stretched-out some.
  17. Nice seeing Josh Knoth going back out in the 6th. 5IP 2H 0R 1BB 6K. 67pitches.
  18. Wacha would be a great addition. His combination of pitch-mix and outstanding command should age well. He pitches deep into games and would be a nice, veteran innings-eater for next year. KC can kick-in some $ for a better prospect package.
  19. With the Blue teams 4 HR’s today they just overtook the Yankees in HR’s and now lead the league.
  20. It’s so ridiculous, they push this farm system back into or near the top of farm systems post-draft, and that’s with Tampa having more than twice the pool $ in this last draft.
  21. The Blue team is 2nd in OPS and slug, 3rd in HR. Gold team is 7th in OPS, 9th in slug and 5th in HR. Most if not all of the team’s ahead of the Blue team are older, some like the Yankees much older.
  22. Yeah, it’s been a disappointing year for me with the pitching. I think the arms are there, once they get healthy, to breakout at some point next year. Episcope-Flores-Cairone are 3 big-armed talents I’m hoping to see excel. Same with Thompson, who’s stuff seems to be ticking-up, and Josh Knoth, who’s stuff seems to be back but needs innings. Wasn’t expecting Woodward to struggle so badly coming back from TJ but maybe it being his second time is slowing down his recovery. Also looking forward to some of the arms from the ‘26 draft-class.
  23. The ‘26 international class looks to have given the team yet another future wave of impactful positional talent. The team’s international prospect-procurement abilities are so far ahead of the rest of baseball it’s beyond remarkable and approaching ridiculousness. No idea how they can be this good and frankly don’t care, just want it to continue for as long as possible. This last class will extend the Brewers minor-league positional depth to epic proportions, and has given the team the ability to trade-off from depth positions without hurting the future at all — totally agree with Fear The Chorizo — the team NEEDS to thin out certain positional depth throughout the system for the betterment of the system development as a whole. What a time to be a Brewers fan.
  24. Thanks for clarifying. Had him mixed-up with one of the other trio of picks.
  25. Super happy with this signing. Premium athlete, good size, great speed and a nice hit-tool to boot. Doesn’t hurt he’s a big Brewers fan as well.
