I’ve seen his name pop up a little lately. Three aspects to consider, 1) the bat is very good 2) His ability to stay healthy enough for it to matter is very bad. 3) He is legit DH only.

The bat talent has always been there since he was in Cubs system & regarded as one of best prospects in baseball. He came up as a rookie & was impact play from the jump. Then next 3.5 years he’s been on & off IL. Basically playing 55-84 games a season. When he is playing, he going to hit for good average, slug the ball, ops in .800s while not walking much, prob k little more than you’d prefer (but not awful).

He should never be allowed in field because he is awful in OF. He is signed though 24’ (13 million) options for I think 16 & 18 mil in 25’ & 26’

I really like the bat & don’t care if he can only DH. If he can stay healthy, he makes this offense better. He ops .800 in his sleep. I’d not be willing to sell an elite prospect for him since him staying healthy is such a huge issue.
