He does, but the small handful of guys we may be interested in probably get plucked before we can claim.

This must make for a hectic day or two for front offices, with possible 9-1 callups factoring in as well.

Grichuk went unclaimed. Color me surprised.

Mike Clevinger did also.  Would be a great grab to fill Houser's spot... but I wonder if he goes back to Cleveland?

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Cincinnati and Cleveland clean up on waiver grabs.  Will be interesting how it impacts the Brewers and Twins.   Especially Cleveland as they seemed to improve the most, IMO.

Of all the waived players, I thought Clevinger would be the safest bet to be claimed--that is, until I saw the coin a new team would be on the hook for.

Right, but now that he wasn't claimed, he is a FA to be signed without the big ($5M? for 1 month) pricetag.

He's staying with the White Sox
