Outfield is going to be interesting for playoffs with the Mitchell situation.   I really don’t like keeping Taylor bat out of lineup.   Frelick might have to start hitting or he could be benched

Sports can be a tough business

This is where a professional manager/coach earns his money.   He some how has to foster a we/team mentality during the season in what is ultimately a me first profession.

He has to have arm issues / problems otherwise he would be on the team.

You're saying the only reason Teheran wouldn't have made the postseason roster was due to him being injured?

For me, the choice is pretty easy. Either Canha or Yelich in LF, with the other as the DH. Mitchell in CF, and Frelick in RF. Taylor will likely be in there against LHP.

Yes I believe so, his ERA was 1.53 until the end of June. Then something happened.

Well he was healthy and they just DFA'd him.....

That is exactly what I said,

Back in the big leagues for the first time in more than two years, the 32-year-old Teheran has a 1.78 ERA through five starts with Milwaukee, including a one-hit outing against the Pirates. Teheran’s WHIP in eight starts for El Paso, the Padres’ top affiliate, was 1.68. Through five starts in the big leagues for the Brewers, it’s 0.82.

Because I'm sure Councill wanted to give him 1 last shot to see haw he was.

When the Brewers were dealing with multiple injuries to their starting rotation in May and June, Teheran responded with a 1.53 ERA over his first six starts. That is not just good but great.

I think you are over thinking it………for lack of a better word……he was lucky early on……his stuff was never good…….many commented on it at the time.

Lots of mediocre pitchers have stretches where their era is unsustainably good…….

No reason to believe he was injured…..his velocity was the same ……appreciate his efforts……he filled in admirably when we had no better options……..he was never going to be on the post season roster.

You guys are just so ridiculous with your thinking, then Angels' Shohei Ohtani has elbow tear, won't pitch again this season,  So then I guess he is just a mediocre player.

The Brewers are not supposed to win this weekend to safeguard my preseason prediction of 90-72!

I foolishly had them at 92-70 … also unlikely

Now wonder the traffic here is dead. Because of stupid people who debate every single comment.

I don’t think your use of the term “comment” is exactly accurate here
