You get a Zero…and you get a Zero…and you get a Zero…but not everyone gets a Zero, that’s what makes the Zero Club so exclusive.

The Mudcats left the bases dripping and couldn't add an insurance run. They hold to a 4-3 lead as they try and close it out in the 9th frame.

** Special shoutout to RHP Aidan Maldonado who has really turned around his season struggles of late. He completes his third consecutive scoreless relief outing and has seen his ERA dip below 5.00. You love to see it. Keep grinding, Aidan!

Root on to close it out.

K to end it. Mudcats cling to a 4 run first to win 4-3.

Good start by Galindez. Then 4 hit night for Juan Baez. Had been in a little slump. Let's get him going.

Lynchburg escaped a bases loaded no out jam in the 10th. They now lead 10-5 headed to the bottom of the 12th as they look to take another from the first place Fred Nats. IF this holds, after the Muddies took it 4-3, the Nats and Muddies will be tied for 1st place.

T-Rats getting smoked 13-1 prevented them from retaking first place. Cedar Rapids lost to Peoria 6-2. The Rattlers will remain 1/2 GB the Kernels.

With all the forum commentary on Ashby, Uribe and Roller, I thought that maybe Brewer Hicklen had had a quiet game.

Nope. 2 hard hit doubles. Drew a 7-pitch walk immediately before Roller’s walk-off blast. Had an 88mph groundout.

It’s time.

This is a nice feature, but --

Inherited runners-scored: Nova 3-2

There needs to be a disqualifying factor, especially when only one out was needed to strand the baserunners.

Yeah, there is definitely some grey area there, and also with the Manfred Man.

I always thought assigning all the earned runs to the pitcher who put the runners on base was overly simplistic, but them’s the rules.

Seems more equitable to charge De Los Santos with 1.25 ER for allowing the runners to reach 3rd (0.75 runs) and 2nd (0.50 runs) in the first place  and then the other 0.75 ER to Nova for allowing them to score.

For what it's worth (nothing?), I'm more disappointed by Logan Henderson being charged with a loss for issuing a 2-out walk. I thought the scorekeeper had some discretion to pin that on Tyler Wehrle for letting that runner score along with giving up 4 other earned runs in 0.1 IP.
