The offensive slump is frustrating.   Could a batting order change help?

RHP

Turang- 2B (doing well..... speed)

Chourio- RF (been got..... speed..... hit and run)

Yelich- DH (best hitter, DH keeps the bat in)

Contreras- C (best RBI production)

Mitchell- RF (power potential)

Hoskins- 1B (needs to get it going)

Adames- SS (too streaky to hit clean up)

Frelick- CF (needs to bunt more..... speed)

Montesario/Ortiz- 3B (get healthy, Joey)

LHP

Turang-2B

Chourio- RF

Yelich- LF

Contreras- C

Adames- SS

Hoskins- 1B

Mitchell- DH (stay healthy, DHing helps)

Montesario/Ortiz- 3B

Perkins/Frelick- CF

Rotation

Civale

Peralta

Junis/Wilson (piggy back)

Kuechel

Meyers

Bullpen

CP- Megill

8th- Hudson

6th. and 7th- Peguero/Milner/Payamps

5th and 6th- AAA/MLB Shuttle

* If Hoskins can't get it going and Ortiz can't get healthy, a 1B/3B at the deadline needs to happen.

* DL Hall, Parades and Koenig's return pushes Peguero/Milner and Payamps to the AAA/MLB Shuttle replacements.

* Hall moves back to the rotation and replaces the worst pitcher of he's healthy and his velocity stays up.

* Injury returns and the line up to the deadline determine what's needed. Right now I'd say:

#1. Rental Starting Pitcher (Kikuchi)

#2. 1B/3B/DH (Turner- but will never play 3B)

#3. Power Righty Pen Arm (Robertson, Estevez)

I like the idea of Contreras hitting cleanup & Adames being much too streaky to hit fourth. But when he returns I think Ortiz would be heavily suited to the #2 hole. Thrilled with what Chourio has been doing but at this stage of his career I'd rather leave him in the spot where he seems to be comfy right now & not press it. A little more contact/OBP from Ortiz right now suits the #2 hole as well.

What I think will happen, is nothing will change & we'll ride out Willy until he finally starts keeping the hands back & going to RF, which will eventually give him some balls to pull. That's what usually seems to have to happen. Just wish the process didn't take so long with him.

Also, my guess is Paredes probably won't be ahead of Payamps or Peguero as long as all three are healthy. I know his numbers are better, but Paredes has had walk issues before coming here, and while he hasn't had an issue lately with that I wonder if a revision is imminent, especially looking at his last one or two outings.
