Hey, it's just nice to see both Yoho and Miz get serious mention from a reputable pod. You don't even have to know what any of these peripherals mean. If you've watched any amount of professional baseball in your life you can tell in one or two Yoho outings: he's different. He was and is an MLB pitcher in April. It was absurdly apparent. IF (and this is a huge IF) RHP Yerlin Rodriguez could ever consistently stack location and mix with his raw toolkit we'd have a third. BUT, man, he's fallen off hard since his best outing of his career. It makes me all kinds of Emo. 😂

Given how dominant Yoho has been, his age, and his injury history, I'd call him up yesterday.  Yoho is only ever going to be a RP, and seems more likely than most to have injury problems, so get some great airbendy MLB innings when you can.

Given Mis' youth, innings limit, and ceiling, I'd wait unless he breaks down the door. Calling him up now means burning an option next year, or losing a year of service time to keep him up. Given how few innings he'll be able to pitch, you better be damn sure those innings will be better than the alternative.

I love me some Yoho as much as the next guy, but I wonder if the injury history is what gives the Brewers pause.

Let's say they add him to the 40, and DFA a guy that has been decent (e.g. - Zastryzny, Jay), then Yoho gets injured right away... If that happens next April, no big whoop. But if that happens in September, then you lose two options for the Bullpen instead of just one.

Then again, if the Brewers think Yoho is so good that he's in the mix for setup-man innings, then I think they have to bring him up. OR, if they think he's a multi-inning guy, he should be planned on as a pseudo-piggy-back option with one of our lesser starters.

Yeah, you can disregard everything I've written, I think they should call Yoho up right away.

I believe the Curt Hogg piece was posted elsewhere as well...

Brewers top prospect Jacob Misiorowski could be called up for playoffs (jsonline.com)

Also, I was perusing some prospect grades recently, and I was wondering... Shouldn't Yoho's changeup be considered 80-grade? I mean, if it is "better," than Devin's changeup, wouldn't that be a generational changeup? I mean, I guess we are living in the era of the screwball/change, so maybe there will be a lot of those pitches in the majors quite soon, but as of this moment, I think it needs to be considered for the nearly impossible 80-grade.

I had recalled that sometime last year that someone made a post to an article that suggested Yoho had a shot at making the majors in 2024.  That seemed far fetched to me so it stuck in my head.  I finally broke down today and did some searching for that post. Low and behold that poster was me (I must be getting old if I dont even recall making that post).

The article referenced is behind Baseball America paywall.  But still, that's quite the prediction and could very well come true.
