Frelick's makeup is 4th outfielder. Absolutely no ceiling. However, Mitchell actually had a higher OPS+ than Chourio had coming into today. The AB today was terrible and still don't know if he's a core player yet due to small sample size/injury concerns but has at least flashed good potential.

Seriously, Misiorowski or Paredes needs to be on a flight to Milwaukee tonight. Remarkable how Peguero completely shrivels up with a runner on the basepaths.

I guess the silver lining is that Helsley is going to throw more pitches and that may help a little for tomorrow. Cards pen has been worked pretty hard this series.

Yeah. Murphy himself had basically zero alternative options. The frustrating part is Peguero on the roster. Dude just can't be trusted in high leverage, especially with runners on.

Same thing was said about Winker. (or would've been had he been under contract another season). I think we need to give Hoskins some leeway coming off major surgery.

Hudson was sent down and threw 33 pitches yesterday anyways. Miner is an option but he’s not good either lol 

 

Hall just threw 90 pitches on Friday and might need another day yet
