The bye being out there is kind of a double edged sword right now. I don't think we're going to get it, but we're close enough where we kind of have to keep trying. Which is a little problematic because we're worn down and tired and it would be better to focus on just getting healthy and rested this month.

I hate the new 6 team playoff. I can't shake the worry that our season will end quickly in October just like the last one.

Agreed. Not impossible but not very likely.

The upcoming games against Arizona scare me a bit. They're playing well. So are the Phillies, of course.

We've to a tough stretch coming up, but we're playing well. It'll be fun.

It honestly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we are more than 3 back after the Philly series. Then we could kind of shift gears in our approach. Get guys some rest.

I knew someone would find some stats to try to say he's actually Mariano Rivera with guys on base.

Pretty extreme mischaracterization of my post (which was actually just a series of facts). I never said he was dominant. Just pointing out that if anything, he has actually pitched better with men on base than with the bases empty this year. The results just haven't followed. Baseball can be funny like that.

Peguero has a higher K%, lower BB%, higher GB%, lower HR/9, and higher soft contact% with men on base than with bases empty this year.

And yet he's arguably the worst reliever we have. Once again, another example that stats lie.

In extras they probably should have went with Haase to try to win the game against the lefty. If they fail they still have Monasterio to play infield. Go for the win in extras instead of having Turang bunt with eveybody charging in and ulitimately hitting a weak grounder.

This loss is on Murphy

Why give up an out in a tie game in the 10th inning?

The soon to be manager of the year, has pushed the right buttons all season long to have his club (over matched on paper) in the fight for the best record in the league and still folks criticize him for an extra inning loss… tough crowd.

The Brewers have won in spite of Murphy’s managerial decisions - certainly not because of his ability manage in game decisions

He’s incredibly likable & media friendly - but he has not excelled at in game pitching changes or pinch hitting or gimmicks on the bases

The beauty of a fan forum is different opinions

I’m fine if you have another perspective

I’m also okay to be labeled part of the tough crowd
