Sal's obviously way stronger than the average person but has to be one of the weaker MLBers. Or maybe it's just lack of leverage from his height. He just almost never produces good exit velocity.

Do you even have a better statistical chance of scoring more than 0 runs in a particular inning with a runner on 3rd and 1 out than a runner on 2nd with 0 out? Surely there has to be a stat nerd here who knows the answer to that.

I would imagine it depends who’s up with 1 out

I don't think bunt is the auto play in the situation where you have a guy on 2nd 0 outs and just need 1 run to win.  Speed and contact really stresses a defense no matter what, would rather get 3 cracks at putting the ball in play one time for a hit that wins the game.
