No manager in their right mind is bringing RHP Yerlin Rodriguez into this situation. No way. LOL.

Well this is the same manager who stacked 4 LHH in a row, so he's not exactly without flaws.

Totally off-topic but that Clarke trade hurts. Devanney was someone I really liked last year and I thought could make it to the majors as a UTIL. Oh well

I hear you on that. But, the thinking is sound. Devanney (it is known I was a massive fan 😅) still has the propensity for the swing and miss. Not going to hit for average. Has some pop, yes. Has a cannon, yes. But, the Brewers will always favor the arms over the Utility depth because they can just sign guys in Minor League Free Agency. At least, that's how I view it.

I guess he should have gone to Yerlin!. LOL

The way they've played today, it feels like this could be final for the Rats.

Tbh though this team has shown an exceptionally strong will time and again

I mean, I've seen his recent sends at 3B. He certainly has flaws. 😅

Meh. Devanney as a 27 year old has a 99 wRC+ repeating AAA for the 2nd time. Clarke didn't work out but we gave up basically nothing to get him.

Oh dear. Welp. If you're going to go down. Get your arses kicked, I say. This is the karma for leaving so many men on base early. You knew this was a possibility. Ouch.

Man, what an awful awful time for Molina and Sanchez to have their worst outings as professional pitchers. Just awful. I feel for them. They've both been very good until tonight. Has to hurt.

The bullpen wasn't up to snuff in the sixth frame. Obviously. BUT, I put this on the woeful AB's early. You can't leave that many men on the bases and expect good things to happen. You absolutely must capitalize on the road in a Championship game. You have to take the will away from an opponent who can feed off the Home environment.

I ALSO HAVE TO SAY IT:

That 3-Run jack came a pitch after C Matt Wood couldn't catch a fairly routine foul tip. That absolutely deserves mention. Sanchez missed his location. Obviously. BUT, Wodd's glove has been an issue since Game 1 as a Brewer. He's been very good tonight. BUT, that drop cost his team 3 runs. It was massive.

It cost them maybe a run. There were 0 outs and they just had a single which would have been a 2 run single to make it 5-1.

No need to single out Wood. Mason Molina cost them this game with a disastrous relief outing.

Maybe Manfredi’s not available, but that seems odd as he’s been pitching every 3-4 days with regularity. Dang it

Hard to know until we get a post-game pod? Will we get a final pod? I hope so.

I mean I'm not taking anything away from Molina my friend. I'm merely pointing out: that was a very costly drop. And, the next pitch was pay dirt. Is what it is. BUT, that was a big drop. Undeniable. AND, that's also assuming the next AB goes exactly as it did after a swinging K. I don't know. I certainly don't see it that way. Regardless, is what it is at this juncture.

The homer came after an injury time-out for the batter and pitch clock re-set which may have also thrown off Sanchez’s timing, with Wood showing the whole world that he wanted a high strike. Felt ominous and may have then ruined the whole frame from there. Wish Sanchez had just fired a ball intentionally to let the weird moment pass.
