Can we finally stop calling the Chargers a Super Bowl contender? I've been hearing this  for years and they never come close. The Chiefs are still going to win that division. Year in and year out the most overrated team in the NFL.

Time to just say the Packers blew chunks and the Browns defense really isn't that great. We can gymnastics things any way we like but their opponents have scored 41 and 34 points to sandwich the Packers who looked completely inept. Short fields and turnovers, ok, but those teams moved the ball a lot better than we did.

Three of the Lions TDs came on drives of 28 yards combined.

And yet, I don't have any faith the Packers would have put the ball in the end zone with similar circumstances. Also, if Baltimore and Detroit are putting them in those situations with regularity, why didn't we? We completely stunk, that's why.

Baltimore does a great job of not calling plays that fit their personnel...like at all.

On the road in KC and Henry is averaging almost 7 yards a carry - but youve given it to him just 7 times and instead opted to watch Jackson try to throw and jitterbug their way to a double digit deficit

And now Jackson is out of the game injured...they suck

ok so they score 9 points instead of 21.

Which is very bad?...Guess you missed our last field goal. Edit: Last 2.

Can't believe it's this hard for you to admit the Packers absolutely sucked last week and played one of the most humiliating 4th quarters in franchise history.

Giving yourself a short field is part of the game, not just some random event that takes place, especially when it's happening 3-4 times a game. The Browns are not a good team and there's a reason that's happened to them twice in four weeks. It's a fair question as to why the Packers couldn't do a thing all day.

Get the kickoff at about the 30, move it all of 30 yards, kick the long field goal. There's a value to it being hard to score. Or is this the NBA where you only need to watch the 4th Quarter?

What is going on with all the blocked kicks the past couple weeks?

I think its a product of all the kickers making 60 yarders with them being able to break the kicking balls in, and special teams coordinators putting mlre emphasis on designing field goal blocks to try and limit that play.

All these long kicks are more susceptible to getting blocked based on a lower trajectory, too.

I need to reiterate the last post as Piniero nails a 59 yarder. Kickers are so damn good these days. You stick a 60 yarder in front of most kickers these days and they’re like “yeah that’s fine I got this.”

No... not yet.

Years and years they've been a very different team. They've had terrible OLs and haven't had Harbaugh.

There are two teams I'm not picking against this year in my survivor pool. The Browns and the Giants at home. They seem like easy wins and... they can be when they turn it over, but both are so good up front. LAC going on the road and playing the Giants and losing that game isn't surprising to me at all. Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Brians Burns, Abdul Carter...

And then the Chargers lose Joe Alt(along with Slater, but he's out for the year).

I'm really not sure that they don't win the division. They've already got wins over the Chiefs and the Broncos, two very good teams. They won't get Slater back, but Alt, Mack and others will be back.

I completely understand what you're saying about the Chargers of years past... Shawn Merriman and all those Phillip Rivers years, but this team is better up front. I don't think they'll win the SB this year, but I think they're right up there.

Turnovers are largely the result of luck. It's why I didn't think our defense was actually top 5-6 last year... but I do this year(though it was a bad game vs Dallas).

I'm telling you, the Jaguars are going to win the AFCS. Book it.

Is that confidence in the Jags or a lack of confidence in the Colts?

I said in the offseason the Jags would win it.

Dude... you sticking with that? The Colts are looking pretty damn good...

What a boring week 5 so far. Chock full of vanilla games without the Packers.

Posted shortly before the Broncos made one game worth watching.

Payton goes for 2 and Denver comes back from 17-3 to take an 18-17 lead.

I'm not gonna jump ship just because the Colts are thrashing a bad west coast Raiders team at home.

It's not like it's just been one game, but... alright.

Detroit will have division wrapped up by Christmas unless they get decimated by injury.

Still think the pack may finish last in the division.

Emeka Egbuka with a 7 catch, 163 yard, 1 TD day for the Buccaneers today.  I can't help but wonder if the Packers would have picked him instead of Golden if he would have made it to their pick.  Through the first 5 games, Egbuka is averaging 89 yards and 1 touchdown.  Another "hit" Ohio State wide receiver.

Broncos 0-2 on the road heading into today, and then walk into Philadelphia and win.

That choke job by Arizona leaves the New York Jets as the only winless team in the NFL.

Well, thanks to a massive choke job by the Cardinals I'm officially out of my survivor pool.

That's a brutal way to go out. The pick, fumble that turns into a TD....

Well... Christmas would be during Week 17, so that's... not really a huge statement.

And no, the Packers are not going to finish last in the division. The bandwagon empties early, but people sure jump back on quickly.
